Sarah June Hughey was born on August 4, 1842 in Livingston, Kentucky, United States, daughter of Robert K. Hughey (1781–>1844) and Malinda Cotten (~1819– ).

Sarah died on May 12, 1908 in Alabama, United States, aged 65. She is commemorated at Centreville Memorial Cemetery, Centreville, Bibb County, Alabama.^{[2] [3]}
