  • It is suggested that Verona died either in Germany/Holland or aboard ship en route to the Colonies or shortly after arrival - if the date 1742 is correct one could make the assumption that she died just after arrival in PA..
  • Immigrated to America on the ship Lydia
  • Captain: James Allan
  • From: Rotterdam By Way of: Deal
  • Arrival: Philadelphia (Wiccacoa), 29 Sep 1741[2]
  • The ship's list indicates the family was traveling with the Mauney family. There is some speculation that both families were possibly Amish or Mennonites immigrating to avoid religious persecution.[3]
