John (Cross) Horsley Jr. (abt. 1818 - 1883)

Biography

John (Cross) Horsley's birth was registered as John Cross and was the son of Jane (Jackson) Cross, with no father recorded ^[1] and lived his life as John Horsley. John was christened on March 23, 1819 at St Lukes Church of England. He was the brother of William Cross [half], Jane Ellen Cross [half], Ralph Jackson Cross [half], Frances Maria (Horsley) Kenyon, Mary Morris (Horsley) Bloomfield, Caroline (Horsley) Foster, Charles William Horsley, Eliza Vivien (Horsley) Crook, George Augustus Horsley and Charlotte (Horsley) Miller.

He married Mary Bowen on 16 July 1849 in Molonglo, New South Wales, Australia ^[2][3]. Mary passed away on 12 May 1859 .

He then married Corrine Day on 9 January 1861 in Victoria, Australia ( Melbourne, Vic BMD: 858/1861) ^[4] and their children were John Horsley, (b. Oct 1861, NSWBMD:4278/1861), Ada Selina Horsley (b. Vic BMD: 4830/1863), Samuel Horsley (b. VicBMD: 18362/1864), Geo Clement Horsley (b. NSWBMD: 10734/1866), Charles Joseph Horsley (b. NSWBMD: 13583/1869), James Horsley (b. NSW 1870, d, NSW 1870) and Corinne Horsley (b. NSW 1870, d. NSW 1870).

John then married Hannah Jane Crook on 18 November 1872 in Parramatta, New South Wales, Australia ^[5] and their children were Lester Horsley, William Pascoe Horsley, Francis Alfred Edmond Horsley, Eric Hope Horsley and Hannah Jean Horsley.

John passed away on 6 September 1883 at his residence, Longsight, Molong, New South Wales, Australia ^[6].
