Probable descendant of Mayflower Pilgrim Francis Cooke (1583-1663)
William was one of the twelve children born in Ten Mile, Washington, Pennsylvania. HIs sisters Elizabeth, Rebecca and Sarah were born in Mount Holly, New Jersey prior to the family's move to Ten Mile, Pennsylvania . William was born on 4 JUL1793 and he was the son of Stephen Cooke and Sarah (McFarland) Cooke
