Chris Burrow

Born 1950s.

Genealogical Interests

Have had an interest in family history for a long while but only took a serious interest when I joined Wikitree in 2014. Am keen on following up on my Brightlingsea, Essex, connections along with my connections to Kirkby Stephen, Westmorland

Biography

Currently am retired and leading a busy life. This has included voluntary work in the Social Enterprise sector. Have a broad range of interests. This includes family history, stamp collecting, photography and ballroom dancing.....

I have been involved in a number of organisations, Including the Ancient Order of Foresters, several Trade Unions in my working life, the Co-operative Movement along with a Credit Union and in 2018 a Trustee of Brightlingsea Lido.

As someone involved in the co-operative movement in the past as happy to support this site and to contribute in any way I am able to.

I am interested also in the breadth of the subject. Who am I related to, what did my ancestors do and to record this.....

Am particularly interested in connections to local families in Brightlingsea. My connections with the Ancient Order of Foresters has been useful. As family names feature in Annual Reports.

This is proving to be fascinating and answers to questions often produce more questions as a result.......

Hello Julie, Thanks for your message. Happy to help in any way I can. Did you use Ancestry to do your DNA test? I am connected to the Brasted family through my great grandmother Eliza Jefferies nee Brasted. Have yet to find a connection to the Marsh family, though that is a local name here in Brightlingsea... Cheers Chris

PS seem to be having a busy life and have not as active on here as I have been....

It seems you answer one question and then find five more. As well as the Burrow, Barker, Bird & Jefferies families have found links to these families :- Brasted Iveson Tyson Tavner Stubbs Grisedale Franks Dent King Gilders Taylor
