Darwin H. Bork August 8, 1932 - August 20, 2018 Darwin H. Bork, age 86, formerly of New London, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018 at Cherry Meadows Hospice in Appleton. He was born on August 8, 1932 in Readfield son of the late Henry and Elsie (Rach) Bork. Darwin served his country in the US Army. On April 6, 1953, he was united in marriage to Barbara Knapstein at Most Precious Blood Church, New London. Darwin loved to travel, spending 23 straight winters in Hawaii, the past six years in Venice, Florida and he also loved spending time at their condo in Ephraim. He worked in research and development at American National Can. Darwin is survived by his wife Barbara; children, Kerry Bork, Oshkosh; Cindy (Randy) Sweet, Madison; grandchildren, Derek Bork (fiancée, Jafia La Barge), Appleton; Justin (Christopher) Sweet, Albuquerque, NM and Elisa Sweet, Chicago, IL and a brother Jerry (Julene) Bork, Appleton. His parents preceded him in death. Funeral Mass for Darwin will be held on Friday, August 24, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, New London with Fr. John Kleinschmidt officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
