Motivation
editMizan al-Arab (ميزان العرب, mizanalarab.com) is a free Arabic-poetry encyclopedia with 254,000+ classical poems (3.86 million verses) by ~6,900 poets. Each poet has a stable numeric-ID page collecting their available corpus with prosodic (ʿarūḍ) metadata, classical-dictionary glosses, and community annotations. The site already links each matched poet page to its Wikidata entity via schema.org sameAs (~1,500 poets), so this property would complete a two-way mapping. A comparable property exists for aldiwan.net (Aldiwan poet ID (P10679), Aldiwan poem ID (P10684)); Mizan al-Arab adds complementary value (prosodic analysis, verse-level anchors, classical-lexicon glosses) useful for referencing poets and their works.
