Mildred Buer, 88, of Willmar, died Friday, July 17th at Copperleaf Senior Living in Willmar. Her funeral service will be at 11:00 am, Friday, July 24th at Calvary Lutheran Church in Willmar. Visitation will be from 4-6:00 pm, Thursday at Harvey Anderson & Johnson Funeral Home in Willmar with a prayer service starting at 6. Her visitation will continue one hour prior to her service at the church. Burial will be at Cloverleaf Cemetery in Willmar, www.hafh.org

Mary R. Haaland passed away peacefully at the Northern Minnesota family Lake home on June 11 after a seven year affliction with Alzheimer’s. With her at her passing were her husband, daughter, and son.

Vonnie Ann Marie Gordon, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on Friday July 10th, 2026, at Country Manor Care Center in Sartell, MN.

James Richard Dean, age 78, passed away on July 6, 2026. He was born in Minneapolis and attended school in St. Louis Park before his family moved to Willmar while James was in elementary school; he graduated from Willmar High School in 1966. Gifted with a strong voice, he performed in school musicals, local theater, and at the Minnesota State Fair amateur talent contest, winning several awards over the course of his lifetime.

Yvonne Emma Furr, age 95, of Bird Island, MN passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 17, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bird Island with Rev. George Schmit as celebrant. A private family burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to St. Catherine University, 2004 Randolph Ave, St. Paul, MN 55105 ATTN: Development, St. Mary’s Church in Bird Island, MN, or Alzheimer’s International. Trent David Nelson, 59, of Sunburg, died Saturday, February 28 at his home. A celebration of life will be held 2:00 - 5:00 pm, Saturday, July 25 at Harvey Anderson Funeral Home in Willmar. In honor of Trent, please wear a Trent's Tractor Tour shirt, Case IH shirt, Fire Department shirt, or the color red. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to CentraCare Hospice of Benson. Steven Douglas Williams, 74, of New London, died Tuesday, July 7th at Bethesda Grand in Willmar. His brief celebration of life will be at 3:00 pm, Wednesday, July 15th at Peace Lutheran Church in New London. Visitation will be from 1-3:00 pm at the church. Interment will be at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis. Memorials are preferred to Kandiyohi County Special Olympics, Wild Haven Sportsman’s Club, or Little Crow Country Club Memorial Fund. Steve’s family requests that you dress casually for his service.
