Please note the following important points:

• We offer two types of installation:
Desktop licenses: the software is installed on an individual’s computer

Network licenses: with a network license, the software is shared across your company. The number of seats you purchase determines how many people can use the software at the same time - so while many people can have access, only a limited number can be active concurrently. As a general rule, one seat typically supports 3–4 average users, depending on usage patterns.
Network licenses are a popular choice for IT teams because they’re easier to manage and don’t require individual installations or activations for each user.
We offer two flexible ways to set up a network license, depending on your environment:

• Classic Network License (no internet access required): Ideal for closed or isolated systems, this setup uses a dedicated network share to store all license files. No internet connection is required, and everything stays within your internal network.
• Cloud-Based Network License (Recommended): This modern approach allows user workstations to connect to a secure license endpoint via the internet. It’s secure, simple to configure and works well in environments with internet access.

Both options are priced the same, so you can choose the one that best fits your infrastructure and security requirements.
• If your organisation is likely to have some users who use the software very often, others rarely, it is most cost-effective to purchase a mixture of license types (desktop for the frequent user, network for the occasional user)
• If you are considering a network license, it is better to start with a smaller number of seats and add more when you find people are waiting too often. We can very quickly increase the seat number and align billing, so you still have the one annual invoice.

• Apple Mac users - ModelRisk and Tamara do not run on Mac OS, but can be run on a Mac using Boot Camp
