UPSTATE CARES: Upstate employees joined hundreds of employees from other businesses across the county to participate in United Way of Central New York Day of Caring. UPSTATE SUPPORT: Upstate employees donated nearly 4,000 items for Mary Nelson’s Back to School giveaway. Upstate’s Nelson has provided free items need for school to thousands of local students for more than 20 years. Dozens of Upstate employees will volunteer at this year’s event, set for Aug. 15.

WALK WITH A DOC: Early Sunday morning gathering in Syracuse’s Barry Park for Upstate’s Walk with a Doc with Dr Stephen Thomas, who discussed the ins and outs of bug bites, especially ticks and mosquitos.

For nearly 20 years, Upstate has welcomed Syracuse-area students in the Synergy Internship Program to campus,This week, the Synergy Interns were welcomed to campus by President Dewan and took part in various welcome activities.

These blankets will provide comfort to patients during treatment and serve as a reminder that an entire community is supporting them.

A RINGING SUCCESS: Three-year-old Everleigh Bylow of Ogdensburg rings the cancer bell to celebrate being cancer-free after a year of treatment. More than a dozen relatives, along with members of the media from Syracuse and Watertown, gathered to witness the joyful milestone and celebrate her victory over cancer.
