Wingfoiling, experience the sensation of flying over the water
Our RYA Wingfoiling First Flights Course gives you an introduction to the concept of foiling, the equipment and all the knowledge you need to experience the thrill of ‘take off’ for the first time.
About the Course
Wingfoiling is an exciting evolution of wing surfing, bringing the sensation of flying above the water. Using the wing to generate power, once you have enough speed you will engage the foil which lifts you up and out of the water – you are now foiling!
We use large dedicated wingsurf boards with a variety of low and high aspect foils to make the transition to your first flights as smooth as possible. All of our wings, boards and foils are top of the range and provided by ‘Starboard’ and ‘Airush’.
You should have completed your ‘Improve your Wingsurfing’ course and/or be comfortable wingsurfing up wind and down wind, including tacking and gybing.
On this course we will take you from being comfortable wingsurfing to getting the sensation of foiling for the first time. A minimum of 12-15 knots is required to generate enough power for the foil to work.
Course topics:
This course is all-inclusive. The cost covers your food and accommodation for the duration of the training, as well as the kit and equipment needed.
