Masterlist

Look at me, finally going an actual masterlist (never thought I'd get this far).

Anyways, these are my preferences, and this abomination is where the whole blog started (pure self-indulgent over there, so don't expect too much)

And, to keep this short, my prompts can be found in the my prompts tag and other snippets I've linked below (wow I'm so good at introductions)

love potion? keeping it as vague as possible to give you full writing direction!

"You've grown immune to the love potion," the hero said. "Haven't you?"

The villain glanced up, at that.

The hero stood in the doorway with a wary tension - the villain could hear their heart slamming in their chest. They looked at the villain like a once familiar stranger walked back into town, armed and eerie with the passing of time. It stung a little, so the villain smiled to reassure them.

The love potion. Oh, the love potions. The villain had lost track of how many they had taken, over the years, like a shot of medicine every morning with their breakfast. They'd never missed a dose.

"Not immune, no," the villain said. "Though I can see why you'd think that."

The hero's brow furrowed. It was adorable.

"You have always had a rather simplistic view on love," the villain said, not unkindly in their opinion. "Not all love is as sweet as you are."

"You killed someone," the hero said. "I told you not to hurt anyone."

Adorable, adorable, adorable.

The villain stood, and the hero flinched, but the villain merely held out a hand.

In the absence of being able to successfully kill or imprison villains of a certain power level, some years ago the world governments had instead started the Love Reform programme. Love was good and love potions, specifically, could keep a person leashed and under control. Willing to do anything for the person that it was tied to. Don't burn down the city? Okay dear! Whatever you say!

It was good with the voters, and good for crime prevention. Not so good for the heroes suddenly saddled with their enemies, but what were they going to do - say no?

The villain's teeth ached rotten with it. Strung out overdosed on it, maybe.

The hero didn't move. The villain waggled their fingers. The hero still didn't move, utterly rigid.

The villain sighed and dropped their hand.

"I'm not immune," the villain said. "They were going to hurt you. They did not get the opportunity."

"They..." The hero looked a little faint. "Is this the first time you've done this?"

"Yes," the villain lied. Peace of mind was important for their beloved.

The hero's eyes narrowed.

The villain notched their smile wider. "Breakfast?"

"No, I don't want - you can't just - you can't do that again, okay? I'm, uh, I'm flattered but - no! You realise I'm going to have to report this?"

"You don't have to do anything," the villain said, and returned to spreading jam over their toast. "I won't stop you, of course. But it would be unwise if you're looking to avoid further bloodshed."

"What's that supposed to mean!?"

"You've been feeding me love potions for years," the villain said, slow but fond, for their delightful idiot. "Whatever self control I have around you is surely gone at this point. Past love, lies madness." They glanced up again, flashed another smile at the stricken look on the hero's face, and took pity. "I'll slaughter anyone who tries to separate us."

The hero sank to sit, oh so slowly, at the table.

The villain crunched a bite of toast, watching them.

"You alright?" the villain asked.

"What if I told you not to slaughter anyone?"

"Love is not, actually, mind control," the villain pointed out gently. "As you know, I'm predisposed to want you happy, but..." They shrugged. "Love is a many-headed thing. Just like any emotion."

"Oh, Christ."

"Yup."

"Did they know this was going to happen?"

"I imagine not," the villain said. "It's generally frowned upon to give people a love potion, let alone this many love potions. What fun exceptions are made for terrifying things we don't attribute human rights to. It's a learning experience for us all!"

The hero moaned, low and distressed.

The villain pushed a cup of tea in their direction. "Life goes on, darling. Breathe."

"And if I stop giving you the potion?"

"Beats me," the villain said. "Do you want to try it?"

"Do you?"

The villain's head tilted, considering. They reached for the hero's hand and the hero flinched back again, recoiling. Dark impulses gently washed through them - stuff a love potion down their throat, see how they like it, lock 'em up and make them love you, make them mad with it - and washed out again.

"Hm," the villain said. "Speaking as someone who adores you, it's probably better that you keep dosing me."

The hero shuddered. "Right."

They were both quiet for a moment. The villain finished their toast.

"But it's going to keep getting worse, right?" the hero asked. "I mean, do you feel like it's getting worse, the more doses you take?"

"Bit late to be concerned about that, my darling."

"This wasn't my idea! I didn't want this anymore than you did. At least you have a love potion to make it tolerable."

The villain paused.

The hero froze, as they realised what they said. "Not that I - I didn't mean -"

The impulses washed over the villain again. That time, they didn't wash away so easily.

"If that would make you happier, my love," the villain said.

"No," the hero said quickly. "No, I'm fine. Really. Honest. Sorry."

"You look frightened."

"Yeah, well, you look frightening."

The villain smiled, at that. They rose a second time, and rounded the table, to the hero's side. They took their face in hands and kissed them softly at the compliment.

It was nice to be seen.

The hero held still, not pulling away. They stared up, breathing pretty and shallow, and the villain so loved that for them. Loved them sweet and easy and peaceful. But oh, they loved this too. The rawness of the hero's terror. The war of instincts flickering over their expression.

"You're exquisite," the villain said. "I think I'll go and deal with the corpse now."

"Right," the hero said.

"You know I'd do anything to make you happy," the villain said. "But I can only change the outside, darling. Not the inside."

"Right, yeah," the hero said. "I...I think I'm starting to see that."

The villain smiled, kissed the hero's forehead, and went about their day.

The next day, there was no love potion dose waiting on the breakfast table.

Their hero really was too sweet for their own good.

Prompt 15

"Stop." The villain hoarsely demands as the hero pierces Villain's hands with their signature small daggers.

"Stop, I said." The villain's breath hitches when the hero links the handle of the daggers with a small chain.

"Hero, stop..." The villain pleads when the hero starts pulling the chain.

"Hero, please." The villain mumbles when the hero drags them through the town square.

The hero didn't stop until they arrived at the interrogation room that they had prepared hastily hours before.

Dragging the sobbing mess behind them, they entered and locked the door with a soft click.

They'd had enough.

It was finally time to do their job right.

"Wait... why am I handcuffed? What happened?!"

Whumpee who:

A. has been possessed and is now waking up, genuinely confused and in absolute horror, to their teammates who are hurt, fighting for their lives in medbay, and/or cleaning up the wreckage.

B. still is possessed :3 And 'Whumper' is trying to appeal to Caretaker to uncuff 'em.

Part 3 of Hero sacrificing themselves to Villain for Vigilante

Hero woke up alone, cold and with a huge ache on their shoulders. It took them seconds to realize that they were restrained. It didn't take much thinking, since their wrists were chained so high above their head that they thought their shoulders would pop off with the slightest movement.

The hero felt a breeze and looked down.

“Shit.”

They were only wearing their underwear and undershirt. Of course, of course that freak had stripped them and left them like this.

Once their eyes adjusted to the darkness, they noticed stairs going upwards on their left. They also noticed several sharp instruments sitting on a table below the stairs, hidden in plain sight. They sighed. They knew surrendering to Villain meant subjecting themselves to indescribable pain, but they weren’t so sure they were prepared for this.

Villain was never one for hand-to-hand combat. They were more of an intelligent type. As far as Hero knew, they avoided violence completely. Even when they met, all they did was exchange a few words before the villain ordered their goons to deal with Hero while they escaped. Every time.

Hero assumed this was because Villain was not one who worked out. In fact, Hero had held them up with one hand once without a struggle. Villain was tall but they sure were as light as a feather.

All brain and no brawns.

So, naturally, Hero was surprised when they found Vigilante's crumpled body on Villain’s feet. No henchmen in sight. Just Villain and Vigilante. Two people in Hero’s lives that the hero never wanted to mix.

And yet they did. And Hero ended up here, chained in Villain’s basement, not knowing what awaited them, what happened to Vigilante after they got taken, if their sacrifice was even worth it.

Just then the door above the stairs creaked open, bathing the room with a dim yellow light. It was enough light for the hero to squint. Hero saw Villain’s boots march down the stairs.

As they came down they noticed the villain struggling to hold the bucket they held in their hands. As they clumsily climbed down the stairs Hero understood why. It was filled with water.

It sloshed and spilled as Villain shuffled uncomfortably down the stairs. Hero watched as their captor muttered curses under their breath every time a huge gunk of water spilled down the stairs. They observed how Villain, the one responsible for their predicament and Vigilante’s deadly wounds, nearly slipped on the bottom of the stairs, letting out the smallest of yelps.

Indeed, Villain was never the brawns type.

Hero wanted to laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

Villain put the bucked down (dropped it, more like) and put their hands behind their waist as they straightened their back.

It made multiple cracking sounds.

Villain let out a huge exhale and their eyes finally landed on Hero, who was trying their hardest not to react.

“Oh,” the villain seemed unperturbed, “you’re awake.”

“What’s the bucket for?”

Villain blinked. They looked down at the bucket, which now was only half-filled, the rest dripping uselessly down the stairs and a puddle on their feet. They returned their gaze on Hero.

“To wake you up.”

“Ah.”

Hero wondered if the awkwardness was part of Villain’s torment.

“I took the liberty of taking your uniform.” Villain started to approach the hero, bucket ignored.

“I noticed.”

The villain’s steps were slow and they were devouring the hero with their gaze alone. Hero hated how Villain’s eyes made them feel like their skin was being stripped off.

Villain stopped right before them and their finger grazed Hero’s stomach lightly. Hero flinched at the touch.

“I can’t believe you’re real.” Villain muttered and Hero looked at them, confused. Then the villain’s lips creeped upwards into a sly smile. “I can’t believe I finally caught you.”

Hero couldn’t stop the scoff they let out. “If you can even call it that.”

“Excuse me?”

“You played dirty and you know it.”

Villain gave them a look. “Oh yeah? How so?”

“If you hadn’t gotten to Vigilante I’d-” Hero gasped at the sharp pain in their head and shoulders. Villain had grabbed them by the hair and pulled them down. Down down down until the hero’s swore they heard their shoulders pop. “Agh! Wait, stop! A-Agh! Villain-!”

“I thought I told you not to mention that name in my presence again.” Villain’s grip on their hair tightened. “Not to even think about them.”

“Kh-! Alright alright, I’m sorry, V-Villain, just stop! Stop just a second! No-!” Hero shrilled when they were lowered in a particular angle where they had to stand on their toes so their shoulders would not pop off their sockets.

“Didn’t I tell you?” Villain let Hero go suddenly. Hero heaved and straightened their back, trembling. “Refer to me as master.”

The hero took a few deep breaths, dizzy from the sudden release, trying to gulp down the bile in their throat. Cold sweat rested on their face from the agonizing discomfort. “Oh,” they croaked, dazed, “you were serious about that?”

“Why wouldn’t I be?” The villain had left their place in front of Hero and walked to the table under the stairs. They kneeled down under the table and retracted a small light lamp. Turning it on, they put it on the table to examine their weapons.

Hero licked their lips. “What’ve you got over there?”

“You’ll find out soon.”

Villain’s back was to them, so Hero couldn’t see what torture instrument Villain was focusing on at the moment. Dread filled the pit of their stomach. They were never trained for this.

Rescue missions, yes. Fighting criminals, yes. Hostage situations, yes.

But never withstanding torture. Those were more of the spies and assassins’ area, the ones who the league ordered to deliberately enter villains’ domain and snoop around or eliminate the most dangerous criminals. And even then, they knew what they were being tortured for. Information.

But Hero had no idea why Villain had chained them up like this. Was it revenge? Hero never thought of them as a vengeful type. But, then again, they never thought of Villain as someone to get blood on their hands and look where that got them. And Vigilante.

Hero’s brows creased with worry at the thought. Every time they thought of their friend all they could see was their crumpled, bloody form on the ground, barely breathing.

Villain said they wouldn’t hurt Vigilante anymore in exchange for their surrender, but could the hero really trust their enemy's word?

Hero didn’t know. They felt like they didn’t know anything about Villain anymore.

“What are you thinking so hard about?” Villain put something dull and metallic under their chin, tilting Hero’s head slightly. “Eyes on me.”

“What are you going to do to me?” Hero's voice cracked at the end.

“That,” Villain retracted their hand. Scissors, they were holding freakishly long scissors in their hand, “is something you will soon find out.”

They had used the round part to tilt Hero’s head. Now they swirled the scissors around and pressed the sharp part on the hero’s stomach. The hero’s breath hitched as they sucked their belly in.

“Villain-”

“Hush.” The villain opened their scissors, shoving it under Hero'a clothes, one point still touching the hero’s body, right above their belly button.

There was no further movement except for the light press of the sharp end on the captive hero's body. Hero held their breath.

Then Villain snipped once and Hero flinched.

Satisfied, the villain withdrew their weapon and touched the hero’s skin with their weaponless hand. Hero’s hair stood on end. Villain moved behind Hero, tracing their captive’s body with their fingers as they did so, leaving goosebumps in their wake.

Something cold grazed their lower back.

“What are you-?!” Hero panicked.

“Hush, I said.”

Villain removed their hand and started cutting the hero’s undershirt in a straight line with inhumane precision. Even with the villain's gentle touch, Hero could still feel the scissors lightly scratch their skin as Villain's hand moved upwards, ripping their undershirt in half.

Hero bit their lip. It’s not that they were insecure about their body, no. They often changed their clothes in front of their friends and colleagues, unashamed of their scars and bruises. It was just that they weren’t too happy about Villain of all people seeing their naked body. Especially under these conditions.

Hero shivered as their back was exposed to cold air. Villain stood silent, and Hero could feel their eyes boring on their back, savoring every inch of Hero’s skin. What Villain saw in this dim light, Hero had no idea.

After a few agonizing seconds, Villain hummed in appreciation. Hero felt Villain's weapon land on their shoulder and gasped.

“Relax.” The villain’s breath was right in their ear. Hero clenched their fists as Villain snipped and ripped their undershirt off completely.

Hero now stood half-naked in Villain’s basement. Wonderful. They really did want to laugh at the absurdity of the situation.

But how could they laugh when Villain’s hot, clothed body was nearly pressed against their bare back. How could they even snicker when Villain stepped so near Hero that they could feel the texture of their clothes. How could they muster up a smile when Villain’s long arms unexpectedly wrapped around Hero’s body. The hand with the scissors poked uncomfortably at Hero’s neck.

“...Villain?”

“Shh…” Villain’s fingers, the ones that were not holding the cold tool, caressed Hero’s torso intimately. Hero suppressed their whimper.

Villain rested their face on the top of Hero’s head and with crippling dread Hero realized that the villain was taking a huge whiff of their hair.

The hero wanted to throw up. This felt wrong, so horribly wrong. They never wanted to expose themselves like this in front of their enemies, never.

Villain’s suffocating grip tightened and Hero squeezed their eyes shut. Anywhere, they wanted to be anywhere but here.

They never wanted to end up like this.

But, if this was what it took for Vigilante to live, so be it. Hero would take anything Villain would torment them with. They had to.

Hero would do anything to protect their friend.

“Hero, oh Hero…” Villain mumbled under their breath. “We’re going to have so much fun together, my lovely Hero.”

Anything.

*bangs pots and cans* here hero whump lovers *bangs them continuously* a new hero whumpee has entered the torture basement*bangs them louder* HERE HERO WHUMP ENJOYERS!!!

oh my god this needs a title or something

Rogue and their current boss stood in front of Superhero. They had successfully injected the serum and had brought the hero to his office, but…

“Are they… supposed to be like that?”

“I don’t see a problem.” Boss merely replied.

“Right, right.”

Of course he didn’t. He didn’t know Superhero. Well, Rogue didn’t know Superhero that well either, but even they could tell how out of character the fiery hero was now.

Superhero was passionate, loud, defiant. Always grinning no matter what the situation. Stoic. They were stoic now too, but it was the kind of stoic that made you think they were dead. Rogue stepped forward and waved a hand over the hero’s face. No reaction.

“Is there a problem, Rogue?”

Rogue flinched. “No, no, of course not! It’s just…” they took a step back, “people will notice.” Boss raised a brow. “Superhero being so quiet is very out of character for them. If the heroes notice…”

“Nothing of important consequence will happen. We’ll simply order them to get rid of anyone in our way.” He faced Rogue. “They’re a weapon now, Rogue. Our weapon.”

“…right.”

Boss turned toward Superhero and grabbed their face. Not gently, but not harshly either. “Superhero, listen to me.” Superhero said nothing. They let Rogue’s boss turn their face towards Rogue. “You see them? You are to follow their every order.”

Not a word of defiance was heard, but Rogue swore they saw Superhero’s eyes squint slightly. Maybe it was a trick of the light. Boss let go of the hero’s face. “Am I understood?”

The room was so silent, Rogue could hear the blood rushing in their body. Boss waited as Superhero stood eerily still. Their mouth opened slightly.

“kh…n-” the hero said. Boss frowned.

“Fighting is pointless now, hero.”

Rogue watched as Superhero flexed their jaw. They stared as Superhero shifted their eyes from left to right, their body tense as if they were ready for a fight. Rogue observed the hero fighting an invisible war in their mind and losing as their face finally went slack.

“Superhero, you are to follow my and Rogue’s orders. Am I understood?”

Superhero breathed shakily before opening their mouth. “…Yes.”

It was the quietest ‘yes’ they heard out of the superhero.

Their boss smiled when something buzzed in his pocket suddenly. He sighed and pulled out the device, eyes widening slightly when he saw the content.

“Looks like we’ll have to put our weapon to the test sooner than we thought.” He said and patted Superhero’s cheek lightly. He smiled at Rogue. “Seems like a couple of rats have found their way in here.”

Why was there a random, unknown, functioning facility in the middle of nowhere? That’s the question the hero wanted an answer to. It looked abandoned at first, but every now and then lights flickered and shadows of people were seen moving inside. There were four guards at the front of the gate, which Supervillain swiftly took care of in a blink. They didn’t even see them coming.

Then Supervillain had the audacity to go in alone. Hero would’ve insisted on coming along, if not for the murderous aura the supervillain was giving. So, Hero was stuck watching the unconscious bodies, frustrated at being left behind. They took out that frustration by dragging the four men on the corner and cuffing them to each other. They used the guards' cuffs and noticed the guns that were strapped on their waists. The fact that the people guarding this facility were so heavily weaponized made Hero's stomach turn. They took an extra measure and left all of their weapons near the gate.

The villain observed the whole process.

“How come you never do that to me?” They wondered out loud when Hero approached them and dumped the weapons at their feet. The hero’s only reply was a short puff of exhaling. Their nemesis laughed.

And then they waited. It was agonizing. Hero watched the trees surrounding this probably illegal building that had gone unnoticed by heroes for who knows how long. Maybe that’s why Superhero ended up here. Hero exhaled shakily. Their mentor did have a knack for uncovering illegal stuff out of the blue.

“You are so nice, Hero.” Villain said suddenly.

The hero raised an eyebrow. “What do you mean?”

“I’m just saying,” the villain shrugged, “it takes guts to follow the Supervillain to the middle of nowhere because, what, they claimed they were a secret lover of Superhero and just want to save them.”

“Not this again.”

“I’m just saying, it’s naïve to trust them this much.”

Hero scoffed and turned the other way.

“Why do you even believe them?”

“Villain, I’m not in the mood to deal with your trust issues.”

My trust issues?” Villain let out a disbelieving laugh. “What about your trust issues?"

“Why so aggravated all of a sudden? And since when did I have trust issues? I don’t have trouble trusting people.”

“Yeah, that’s your issue.”

Hero gave them a look. What is their problem?

“I don’t see how that’s an issue.”

“Really?” Villain gave them a sideways glance, “so our little team-up that one time didn't teach you anything?”

Hero’s breath got stuck in their throat and their jaw flexed.

“You would think your job would teach you not to trust people so easily.” Villain continued. “Seriously, Hero, I’m a little worried about you.”

Hero clenched their fists. “You have no right to worry about me. And that,” they spat, voice quivering, “is completely different.”

“Look at me in the eyes and say that again.”

Hero stubbornly turned their face the other way. “That was a low blow and you know it.” Hero despised themselves for letting such a small reminder of that incident get to them.

“Sometimes you need a low blow to wake up, darling.” Hero glared at their nemesis. “Ah, there are those eyes.”

"I know Supervillain is telling the truth, Villain, because their eyes aren't as dead and empty as yours." They crossed their arms over their chest. "It's as simple as that."

Villain crossed theirs too. "Oh, we're basing this on eyes now." They mumbled and turned the other way.

Unbelievable. The sheer audacity to bring that up! Unbelievable. It was so fustrating that Hero got all worked up every time they remembered that mission. So fustrating that even now, years later, their face was getting all heated up! Their back, too!

...wait, why was it hot all of a sudden?

"Shit, Hero, move!"

Without any warning, Villain jumped and threw their body at Hero. Just as they fell on the ground, a burst of fire shot from the closed gates and outside, right at the spot Hero and Villain were standing.

Something nauseatingly sweet filled the air.

“Ow, fuck.” Villain hissed in their ear. “Fuck, it burns.”

Hero groaned, the stones on the ground prickling their back. “Villain. Villain, get off me.”

The only response they got was a pained gasp. Hero craned their neck and took a look at Villain’s back. They hissed in sympathy.

A huge gash of burning red skin ran horizontally across their lower back. The low part of their shirt was burnt.

“Are you hurt?”

Villain sat up to give them a look. What a stupid question indeed. Hero bit their lip.

That’s when they heard steps coming their way.

“Hang on tight.” They grabbed the Villain’s biceps and teleported them away. Not too far, just enough for the attacker not to hit them and enough for Hero to actually confirm with their own eyes if the attacker was who they feared it was.

Out of the smoke stood Superhero themselves. Hero almost smiled. “Superh-!” They stopped themselves when they noticed the other figure standing beside their mentor.

Something was not right.

“...Rogue?”

Villain sat up gingerly and shifted next to Hero so they could sit next to them. And lean on them too, but Hero was too confused by Rogue’s random appearance to notice.

Rogue was… well, not the last person Hero expected to see. Matter of fact, they weren’t a suspect of Superhero’s sudden disappearance at all. They had no hatred for Superhero, no ties to villains, no motives whatsoever. The last time Hero had seen Rogue was when they paid Superhero a visit two or three years ago and Rogue had bumped into them accidentally on the road. They all had a drink together and parted on good terms. Great terms, even. As far as Hero was concerned, Rogue was their friend. So, what was this horrible gut feeling?

And why is Superhero standing so still?

“You have no idea how much this hurts.” Villain’s agitating voice brought the hero back to the present. They stood on their feet and glanced at the villain’s injury.

Something was wrong.

“Eh.” Hero shrugged. They couldn’t afford to space out now. They had to get to the bottom of this. “You never trained under them.”

“Superhero used to burn you alive? Not very heroic of them.” Villain stood up and suck their breath through their teeth as they straightened their back. “But then again, it’s not like they look heroic right now.”

Hero narrowed their eyes. Not at Villain, but at their ex-trainer. Superhero’s eyes which were usually filled with mischief and mirth were dark. Their lazy but confident step was now too stiff. Their hands were clenched into angry fists and their jaw flexed tight.

Something was very wrong.

Superhero paid no attention to the guards that Hero had cuffed in the corner. No attention to the mess they had just made. Instead, they glared daggers at the hero and the villain, stomping closer and closer.

“Stop.” Rogue yelled. And Superhero listened.

Hero froze. For a moment, they felt a sudden chill coming from Superhero. It was gone in an instant.

"Superhero?" They whispered, but Superhero showed no recognition.

"Wow, harsh. Maybe they don't remember you." Ah, Villain. So unhelpful and so wrong.

“Okay, my big hero, let’s see who we’ve got here.” Rogue casually strolled beside the superhero, who was staying so still Hero thought they could very well be mistaken for a wax statue.

The rogue’s eyes widened when they saw Hero.

“Oh. Hero, hey buddy.” They waved. A friendly wave, one the hero did not want to reciprocate.

“Rogue.” They nodded instead and gestured their head at Superhero. “What exactly is going on h-?”

“What are you kids doing here?” Rogue eyed the villain once and brought their attention to Hero once more. “This is a restricted area.”

"There were no signs.”

“…How did you get here, exactly?”

“How about I ask the questions and you answer, Rogue?”

Hero had no idea how they got here. One second, they, Villain and Supervillain were outside in the back of the train, the next they felt a chill, a sudden drop and they were surrounded by trees. Supervillain had offered no explanation and had simply taken off. Hero and Villain, both confused as hell, had thought of no other option than to follow Supervillain like baby ducks follow their mama duck.

Thinking of Supervillain, where were they? Weren’t they supposed to know exactly where Superhero was? Were they… oh God, were they found out? Did they kill everyone in there or were they captured. Hero didn’t know which scenario was worse.

“Mind here in the present, darling.”

Hero blinked. Right. They brought their attention to Rogue. Focus. “What is going on here? Why is Superhero acting like-” a mindless puppet- “that.”

Rogue’s corner of their lips creeped higher. “I knew this would be a problem.” They turned their head at Superhero. “I knew we should’ve waited and found out a solution for them to behave as they usually do, but alas,” they faced Hero, “he wanted to test them out as soon as possible.”

Hero clenched their fists. “Who?” Rogue stared at them with that damned smiled plastered on their face. The hero was running out of patience. “What have you done to them? Answer me!”

“I don’t think they’re gonna tell us, dear.” Villain muttered, unhelpful as always.

Hero huffed and took a step forward. They would beat the answer out of Rogue if they had to. Villain grabbed their arm. “Don't.”

“Let go of me.”

“Superhero clearly isn’t in the right state of their mind right now. You could be killed.”

Hero turned their head to glare at Villain. “What? Worried about me?” They spat and tugged their arm out of their nemesis’ grip.

“You know, this might not be such a bad idea after all.” Rogue said and took a step back. “This is a good opportunity to see if it has really worked. Thanks for volunteering, kid.”

Rogue patted Superhero again, who frowned.

Hero shivered and their body tensed. "Superhero?" Their voice was so small even to their own ears.

"Superhero, att-."

“Mind if I volunteer instead?”

Superhero’s head jerked and turned to the direction of the voice.

“Oh? Recognized my voice, did you, sweetheart?”

Hero let out the hugest sigh of relief. Whatever their mentor was about to do, Hero knew they could not stop it.

Rogue turned around. Right where the two of them came from now stood the tall build of Supervillain, accompanied by the trail of bodies they had left behind. Hero squinted the eyes to look and let out a relieved breath when they saw one of the bodies breathing.

It took Rogue three seconds to remember where they had seen this stranger’s face before. They paled.

“No…” they gasped, “there is no way…”

Supervillain chuckled darkly. “You obviously haven’t spent a lot of time with heroes, Rogue.” Rogue flinched. Supervillain smiled slyly. “There is always a way.”

Superhero, their face blank, turned around to face their once-nemesis.

“No… you’re… you’re dead.”

“I’m sure you would like to think of me that way,” the supposed-dead supervillain took an uncaring step forward, “but real life is always so disappointing, is it not?”

Rogue stumbled backwards, even though Supervillain hadn’t approached them any further.

“No way…” they gasped.

“Spare me the pathetic mumbling and kindly return to me what is mine.” Supervillain waved an arrogant hand at Rogue and grinned, all teeth. “If you please.”

Hero held their breath. Villain stood still beside them. Rogue didn’t say anything for a long, fearful moment. Superhero hadn’t moved, but the flex of their jaw didn’t go unnoticed by their ex-student.

“No…” Rogue finally spoke. Supervillain raised a brow.

Hero’s eyes widened. Were they insane?

“No.” Rogue repeated and stood straight, taking a deep breath to calm their nerves. “No, I don’t think I will.”

“Superhero,” the rogue spoke loud and clear, “attack.”

Nothing could prepare the hero for the sheer speed Superhero moved with to pounce on Supervillain. Realistically, they knew Supervillain was Superhero's match. Some say they were stronger, even. But Hero wondered, if the ex-villain and Superhero were together, would Supervillain really be able to-?

Next thing Hero saw was Superhero's face getting slammed to the ground.

Oh.

Supervillain flexed their wrist as their beloved twitched in the ground. "Sorry, sweetheart. I did ask nicely."

Superhero was quick to stand up and fight, as they always were. Supervillain would've felt intense nostalgia if it weren't for the hero's glassy eyes.

“So," they ignored the way their blood swirled and chilled, "this is the sudden mission that you just had to take a look at?”

Superhero growled and swung a punch at them, which Supervillain dodged easily. Of course, they did, they could fight Superhero in their sleep.

“So aggressive. Tell me, Superhero,” they jumped to dodge a kick, “have you consumed anything strange lately?”

Nothing. The hero's mind wa suspiciously blank. No human's mind should be as blank and cold as Superhero's.

"Haven't got a thing to say to me, huh?" They muttured sorrowfully and dodged the hero's elbow.

Superhero said nothing and Supervillain frowned. They had to fix this.

The hero raised their hands and brought a mini-storm of fire on Supervillain. Their opponent met their attack with forced laughter. Just to bring back the old feeling. “Really, sweetheart? When has that ever worked?”

The hero, unperturbed, took a step back to make room for their favourite roundhouse kick. Supervillain caught their raised ankle with a small grunt.

“Oh, this takes me back.” They growled lowly and gave the superhero a hard shove with their shoulder.

Superhero’s whole body was left open. Supervillain wasn’t going to miss this opportunity.

Lover or not, they knew the only way to bring Superhero back was by force.

“My turn now.”

They jumped into Superhero’s personal space. Funnily enough, the hero did nothing to stop them. Supervillain put their hands together and formed their fingers into a clawlike shape before shoving them in Superhero’s stomach.

The hero gasped and stumbled back. Supervillain punched them in the chest. Superhero let out a pained yelp, eyes wide. “What? Did you think I’d go easy on you?”

Another punch. "Sorry sweetheart."

A kick. "These are the consequences of fucking around and finding out, I fear."

A slap to the face. "You know, this feels exactly like old times.”

A cold feeling in their chest and Supervillain knew their beloved was about to attack them again. They turned their body sideways as their opponent’s attack went into thin air, the hero’s arm dangling right in front of the supervillain.

“Same kicks, same punches, same attacks,” Supervillain grabbed the hero’s hot arm, pulled it towards themselves and twisted it behind Superhero’s back, “You’d think one of the city’s best heroes would have improved their fighting skills by now.”

Superhero snarled when Supervillain pressed their arm against their back more. “The only thing that’s missing in this fight,” the supervillain put their foot in the middle of Superhero’s feet and pulled at an ankle, tripping them, “is the sound of your annoying voice.”

Supervillain grounded themselves and released Superhero’s arm, twirling them so they could fall on their back on the ground.

“Either claiming I’d pay for my crimes,” they sat on top of the superhero and grabbed their wrists, “or begging me to save the world with them. Yes,” they leaned in, grinning from ear to ear, “begging.”

Superhero struggled to free themselves as Supervillain bumped their foreheads together gently, “so let me hear that voice beg once more, eh, sweetheart?”

Sorry this is probably unbearably long and a bit boring. I was gonna keep it short but uh... so many scenes popped into my head and I didn't know which ones to write first... so I wrote most of them :D

......and yet none of them are whumpy enough to make me feel something. Just go ahead and throw tomatoes at me idc...

Anyways, choose who gets whumped next and I promise I will only focus on the one getting whumped (which means next part won't be too long and actually enjoyable yayyyy)

(Idk why 1 week is the longest option but I'll try to push it to a month or 2 if I can. If I can't just throw more tomatoes at me.... and comment ig)

The Heroes create a restraining device specifically tailored for Villain, but realize it would be too inhumane and perhaps torturous to use. They lock up the device, never planning to use it. One day, Heroes and Villain are fighting, and Vigilante shows up and uses the restraining device on Villain. Vigilante gloats, saying that the Heroes made such a perfect device for him, and the Villain, amidst their newfound agony, looks so betrayed.

I originally made this a prompt because I had no ideas for how to write it. But, you asked, and I finally got an idea. So here ya go 😁

Warnings: Violence, Mouth Whump, Cruel & Unusual Restraining

“Jeez, those scientists really go a little overboard sometimes, don’t they?”

Hero nodded, patting Sidekick’s shoulder as the elevator began its shuddering descent. “I’m proud of you for speaking up about it. That’s exactly what these meetings are for.”

Prompt 14

Villain sighed and took the glass out of their whining nemesis' hand. "That's enough, darling. You're at risk of revealing us both." They grabbed the swaying Hero by the armpits. "One more drink and it'll go straight to your head, I'm afraid."

Hero gave the villain an incredulous look.

"Ew, I'm not giving you head."

Prompt 13

Hero was offended. That's the only way to describe this feeling.

It was bad enough that Supervillain had captured their team. It was bad enough that they were forced to run and leave their friends behind. Bad enough that Supervillain claimed to want them so much that they were being hunted to the ends of the earth.

But to send their lackeys? What were they? A trinket?

"You." Hero glared at the last lackey standing. They ignored the ache of their muscles as they stomped forward. The lackey, despite being bigger than Hero, froze. Maybe the other fallen lackeys around them finally made them realize. Hero wasn't going down. Not tonight.

"You." Hero repeated and the lackey flinched. Before they could run, the hero grabbed their collar and snarled in their face. "Tell your boss that if he wants me that bad..." they kicked the lackey to the ground.

"...then he should take me himself."

Edit: why do I keep forgetting to tag you guys @whumplicity @jumpywhumpywriter @dreamingofviolence sorry

Daily Drabble #126

One of Whumper’s favorite things to do to Whumpee was simple and easy; which made it the perfect thing to do. They’d come up behind them and wrap them in a constricting hug. Whumpee would tense up both from the unwanted physical contact, and knowing what was to follow. One of Whumper’s arms would stay firmly against their victims’ torso, the other would cover their mouth and pinch their nose.

Whumpee would struggle against them to breathe. Clawing at their hands, squirming, abdomen convulsing as their lungs tried to breathe. They’d let them take a breath of differing length before once again covering their airways. Sometimes they’d be able to fully catch their breath, other times they could only gasp once. They never knew how much time they’d get.

Whumper would continue this until they were lightheaded, letting their body fall to the ground, head dizzy and asphyxiated.

Whumpay - alternate prompt 3: loss of senses

Hero screamed when Villan’s dust flew right in their face, landing on their eyes. Hero started wiping them furiously, but they already knew it was too late. When they opened them they could barely see. Water. They needed water to wash the dust away.

Hero started rubbing their eyes so hard tears were beginning to spill. They heard their friends’ voices shouting at them with worry, calling out their name.

They heard Villain as well. “You should be worrying about yourselves, should you not?” They laughed. Hero swung their sword blindly. They kept their eyes closed. It wasn’t the first time the villain had got them, so they knew opening their eyes would only make it worse. They heard the villain gasp in surprise. “Oops! Almost had me.” The hero knew their assailant was grinning.

Something whooshed past their ear and Villain grunted. A hand touched their back gently. “Don’t worry, handsome. I have your back.” Leader.

Hero smiled. “Thanks man.”

Villain growled. “Oh, great, it’s y- ow! Hey!”

“Focus, Villain.” Hero laughed as their leader presumably shot the villain with another arrow. They felt their leader’s breath on their ear. “Just stay right beside me, Hero.” Hero heard Leader shoot another arrow and Villain hiss. “We’ll fix your eyes.” Another grunt, from Leader this time. “As soon as we’re finished with this lot.”

Hero was shoved by their friend left and right. They assumed Leader was guiding them out of harm’s way. “How did they even find us?”

“It was an ambush.”

“I know that.” Leader sighed in frustration. Hero wished they knew what was happening around them. They didn’t hear Villain anymore, but they could still hear the fight going on. They didn’t know why Leader had stopped. “Alright, listen. As soon as I find an opening I’ll put you somewhere safe. Then the team and I will get rid of these guys. They caught us by surprise, but they can’t be hard to take down.”

Hero's grip on their sword tightened. “You’re sending me away?”

“I’m keeping you safe.”

Hero shook their head. “No.”

“No?”

“No.” Hero repeated. “I just need some water. Remember the river we passed a while ago?”

Leader suddenly pushed the hero away, and the hero felt something warm whoosh across their face. “Ugh, Henchman and those damn fireballs of his. Stay behind me.”

“Leader, I need to go there to wash my eyes.”

Leader grunted. “In the river?”

“Yeah.”

“Absolutely not. Hero, that’s too far away.”

“I’m not just going to stand here useless!”

“You aren’t.”

Before the hero could question those words, Leader grabbed their hand and pulled them. The wind that blew in their face irritated their eyes, even though they were squeezed shut. Hero hissed and covered their face with an arm. They heard the voices of their team getting a bit more distant.

Leader stopped suddenly and grabbed the hero by the shoulders, directing them somewhere. “What are you doing?” Hero demanded. They nearly opened their eyes.

“Stay right here.” Leader shoved them and Hero was forced to sit. “Don’t move.”

“So searching for water isn’t safe but sitting in the open is?”

“You’re not in the open.” The hero heard something rustle. “You’re deep in the woods. Surrounded by trees.”

Something tickled Hero’s shoulder. They touched it and felt a papery object. “Leaves?!” They gasped in disbelief. “You’re covering me with leaves?”

“Don’t shout. And stay still! The villains won’t find you here.”

“Right, because the villains are idiots, apparently.”

“Because we’ll deal with them.” Leader huffed in annoyance. “Honestly, Hero, I’m doing this for your own good.”

“I know that! I just…” Hero’s lower lip almost trembled. Almost. “I can’t just stay here. I want to help.”

“I know.” Leader wiped a tear out of their face. Hero opened their eyes and immediately regretted it. They hissed as their eyes stung. Leader wiped another tear. “I know. But you cannot help us if you can’t see.”

Hero flinched. The cold in the air nearly made them shiver when Leader stood up and left. “Stay here, Hero. Please.” And they were gone.

Hero had sheathed their sword. Not like they were using it anyway. They sat still and tried to stay. But they could only stay in one place so long before the voices of their teammates fighting for their lives got to them. At first, the hero paid them no mind. Everybody shouted when they fought. But Sidekick’s scream chilled them to the bone. It was like they were burned. Hero remembered Leader mentioning something about fireballs and bit their lip. Enough was enough. They were going to find that river and they were going to fix their eyes.

Hero stood up with determination and let out a small groan when they banged their head on a branch. With a small hiss they stepped slowly out in the open, away from whatever nook Leader had put them in. The hero knew their leader had have to put them somewhere they’ve already been, so the place should be familiar.

Hero hated what they were about to do.

They opened their eyes.

It burned. “Fuck.” Hero whimpered and took a quick glance of their surroundings, mostly the ground.

Villain’s dust had the ability to mess with people’s sense of sight, although it varied how, depending on the person. When it had touched Leader once he'd got so dizzy he couldn’t even sit still. Medic hallucinated. And Hero would go blind if they didn’t wash the dust out.

Hero closed their eyes. They knew where they were and they knew in which direction they had to go. They also noticed that their vision had gotten so blurry they couldn’t even make out shapes.

The hero muttered a small apology to the leader, even though he couldn’t hear them, and left, promising they’d be back in top shape.

Easier said than done. Turns out, the river is a bit far. Especially for a blind person stumbling and tripping on roots. Hero had lost count on how many times they’ve faceplanted a tree and kissed the ground. Their face was wet with tears; not because they were scared, no. It’s just that the pain in their eyes had become unbearable. And the Hero’s system was still trying to get Villain’s dust out of their eyes. They sniffed.

Their vision had gotten worse. If the hero opened their eyes now, they would see small black spots that would get bigger if the hero wiped their eyes once more. Even the wind aggravated them. Hero had settled for an arm over their eyes as they marched blindly, using only their sense of touch and hearing to guide them.

It had been a while since their friends’ voices had disappeared. Hero had walked so far from the ambush that they could even hear a few birds here and there. If they weren’t going blind, they would’ve called this walk peaceful.

Hero then heard something. The rush of water. They stopped. Yes! Yes, I found it! To their left. The river had to be to their left.

Hero was about to take a step forward when they heard a twig snap. They didn’t know how, they didn’t know why, but they knew the sound wasn’t natural. Something was watching them. No, not something, not an animal. Someone.

“Who’s there?” Hero demanded, turning their head where the sound came from. Nobody answered. Nothing moved. The birds had stopped singing.

Something touched Hero’s cheek. They gasped and threw a punch, but their hand was caught and held firmly. “Who are you?” Hero lowered the arm covering their eyes, putting it over the hilt of their sword, but they didn’t draw it. The mysterious stranger wasn’t attacking them. Hero could feel the other’s breath fall on their bangs. They licked their lips nervously. “Why aren’t you saying anything?”

The stranger released the hero’s fist slowly. Hero took it as a gesture of peace and didn’t attack. Instead, they froze as a finger touched their lips in a simple gesture to keep quiet. Hero assumed this was one of their teammates and nodded hesitantly. Had Leader figured out Hero had left and sent someone to find them?

Cold hands rested on their face. The touch was so gentle, they almost leaned into it. “I don’t… Medic?” Hero whispered. She had cold hands. Apparently not, though, because whoever was in front of them didn’t make any other moves and didn’t say a word.

Hero was starting to get nervous. If only they could open their eyes and look. A thumb brushed one of the corners of their eyes. “Leader?” The silence was deafening. Hero reached out and touched the stranger’s face, whose body now went still.

Hero felt their features. Their hair, their eyes, their nose. Their mouth. And the scar that ran across it. If Hero’s eyes were open, they would’ve widened with horror. They felt the mouth form into a smile.

“And here I was enjoying myself.” Supervillain grabbed the hero’s wrists, the touch no longer gentle. “Whatever are you doing out here all alone, sweet thing?”

“You!” Hero gasped and pulled, knowing it was useless. They squinted their eyes open and were met with the very blurry shape of Leader’s sworn enemy looming over them. That was all the hero managed to see before their sight filled with black spots. Fuck. Their eyes got so watery it looked like they were sobbing now. "Let go!"

“Oh, dear. I’m not that horrible looking, now, am I?” The villain laughed and tightened the hold on Hero’s wrists. "You're coming with me."

Fine. If the hero couldn’t hit them with their fists, with their legs it was. They swung a kick and landed a hit. Supervillain hissed. “Is that how you want to play?” The villain growled and before Hero could even think of kicking again, their head was banged against a tree. Supervillain’s hands had let go of Hero’s wrists and grabbed their throat. The villain lifted them up. “Okay, little hero, here’s what’s going to happen.” Hero clawed Supervillain’s hands desperately. “You are coming with me.”

“No.” Hero rasped.

“Yes. And, if you want what’s best for you, you’ll listen to every word I say.”

Hero couldn’t breathe. They reached a hand towards their sword, but the villain caught it too. Even with one hand, the villain still managed to hold the hero up by the throat. The fingers around Hero’s throat squeezed, drawing out a choked whine. Right when their chest felt like exploding, the villain let them go. Hero fell forward, exhausted. “Listen to me,” Supervillain’s breath was right on their ear, “you’re all alone here. My men are busy keeping your team, so no help is coming. You’re entirely at my mercy.” Hero’s eyes were almost wide with panic. They couldn’t see a thing now. “And, by the looks of it, completely blind.” Supervillain chuckled. “How lucky am I, huh?”

Hero made one last half-attempted struggle. Supervillain didn’t even notice. They grabbed Hero by the arm and pulled. “No… no, wait! Please. At least,” their throat tightened, “at least let me wash my eyes, please, I’m-” The words stuck at the back of their throat.

“Oh, sweet thing.” The villain cooed and wiped a tear out of their face. “Are you frightened?”

Yes. They were terrified. Their eyes were open and they couldn’t see a damn thing. They hated how useless they were, how helpless they felt. The weight of the sword on their hip felt like a burden. The hero turned their head towards the ground and bit their bottom lip. They nodded, once. Hero could hear Supervillain’s smile. “Good.” They pulled the hero harshly. “That’s exactly the face I want you making when we face your Leader.”

@jumpywhumpywriter @dreamingofviolence @whumplicity so none of you were going to tell me there was a whump event for may? Because my dumbass kept searching for "merry whump of may" but only the event for 2024 came up so I thought there wasn't a may event this year :/ (turns out there was and it was called whumpay but I'm an idiot)

Scream

You,” Team Leader growled when the door opened to the room they had been locked in.

“Funny,” Whumper started, lingering in the doorway. “That was my reaction as well when I saw the security footage of you three sneaking into my facility… Leader.” He nodded at them, looking at all three. “Caretaker,” he said casually, in greeting. Then his eyes whisked over Whumpee and a hungry glint lit up in his eyes. “Whumpee. Back out here already, hm? Looks like you made a full recovery?”

“Looks like your nose did, too,” Whumpee fired back, trying to contain their surprise being face to face with him once again. “Did someone set it for you or did you do that yourself?”

At their first meeting, Whumper had severely underestimated Whumpee. After Whumpee broke his nose, that one-on-one quickly turned to a five-on-one. And yes, their broken bones had taken weeks to heal. But Whumper’s broken pride must have taken way longer, and from the looks of it – the man narrowed his eyes – it still hadn’t healed.

He covered it well with a predatory smile, bearing his teeth.

“Oh, it is good to see you again,” he sighed. A short pause. Then he stepped back. “Come with me.”

Alright b, I’m dropping an ask hero x villain style:

Villain has been working with the heroes for the past couple days to try and take down supervillain. One day, supervillain captures villain and tortured them for a bit before streaming said torture to the heroes, now up to you how the heroes react :) (no worries if you don’t wanna!)

Avatar

this is one of the bEST TROPES EVER *screams* anyway I hope you like it :D

“Sorry, boss, we can’t find them,” Teammate said, slumping down onto the couch, exhausted.

Medic tapped their foot in aggravation. “I knew they’d turn on us. We were stupid to trust a villain.”

“We don’t know that, Medic,” Hero said pointedly, but their own heart was sinking. It felt like a sharper betrayal than it should have, for Villain to just leave. It would make sense if they’d just done it for information and left when they got what they needed--it would certainly add up with their previous actions. But Hero didn’t want to believe it. They’d seemed so genuine, the way they'd begged Hero for help. The way they seethed when even mentioning Supervillain, and contributed ideas Hero would never have even thought of. Hero had always admired their genius, but seeing how their mind worked up close had been intoxicating.

“Hero?” Youngest turned in their swivel chair, arm poised slightly in the air like they were still in school. “We’re getting an incoming link to a livestream.”

Hero closed their eyes, a headache building behind their forehead. “Youngest, I can’t deal with that right--”

“It’s from Supervillain.”

They shot upright. “Open it.”

Whumpril 2026 - unnecessary risks

“What if I brought all this down upon you all, huh, Supervillain? What if?” Hero forced a huge smile on their face as the room’s lights flickered with unwanted energy. Hero watched their team, which was behind Supervillain, tied up on their knees, and giggled at Sidekick’s small flinch. So scared and for what. They were doing all this to save them. “Now wouldn’t that be funny.”

“You wouldn’t.” Supervillain only smiled, a possessive hand on Leader’s head. “I have the feeling you don’t recognize how much is at stake, my dear.” He gestured at the team held hostage by his goons.

“No, I don’t think you recognize,” Hero took a deep breath before letting out a small giggle, “the massive elephant in the room. This wasn’t supposed to happen. You were never supposed to find us. I-we failed.” Their breath hitched. “So, one must take responsibility for their crimes.”

“And take your friends down with you?” Supervillain chuckled. “I didn’t expect this behavior from a hero. Least of all you.”

Now what was that supposed to mean. The electricity around Hero crackled. One of the light bulbs exploded.

Leader surged forward before he was stopped by Supervillain’s hand on his hair. “Hero, stop this!”

“Please, Hero, it’s gonna be okay.” One of Hero’s other teammates looked at them with concern… which was unwanted, and it only aggravated them more.

“Let me do my thing.”

“Hero, there are innocent people in this building.” Leader growled. “Don’t take unnecessary risks.”

“I know what I’m doi-”

“Oh, relax, would you.” Supervillain had the nerve to laugh and clench his fist around Leader’s hair. The captive hero gritted his teeth. “Can’t you tell they’re bluffing?” They gave Hero a knowing look. “You’re not fooling anyone, my dear. I know you heroes, I know all your rules, your moral codes, your ethics. I’ve been dealing with your kind since-”

Hero snapped their fingers. The air buzzed and a surge of energy flashed across all their faces. Multiple of Supervillain’s goons gasped, and a few jumped and yelped when they were shocked. So did one of their teammates. Hero ignored that last part. “Hehe, got a few.” They smiled.

“Hero!” Sidekick pointed at Sniper in the back, horrified.

“Oh, calm down, they’re alive. I told you, I know what I’m doing.”

Sniper’s whole body twitched.

The hero had no idea what they were doing. They only had one goal in mind and that was getting their team back, go back home and pretend this whole mission-gone-wrong thing never happened.

Sniper groaned and Hero fought the urge to run and help. They told themselves they'd be fine. All heroes had personalized medics back at the base anyways. And this was a last resort, Hero was sure their team would understand why they were acting this way. It's not like the hero was hurting them on purpose.

Sure, they could give back the documents they stole from the villain, but after what their team went through to get those damned papers, Hero refused to even let those go. They had a goal in mind and, unfortunately, it involved those cursed papers too.

Besides, Hero has had this power for years, they had it all under control. Sure, electricity was impossible to control in general, and fatal, should one start randomly generating it with no concrete target… kind of what Hero was doing right now. But it didn’t matter. They had it all under control. They knew what they were doing. They had a goal in mind.

Supervillain's disbelieving laugh brought Hero back in the real world. They saw the villain purse his lips. “A fine little show, but you don’t really expect me to believe-”

Another wave of lightning, a bigger one. All the people in the room curled into one another. Hero thought they heard screaming in the distance.

“Hero, there are innocent people in these building!” Sidekick scolded.

Hero shrugged. “Small sacrifices, I guess.”

“Hero!” Leader looked at them, horrified. Hero’s chest would’ve stung at the look he gave them, but they had other things to worry about now.

“Here’s what’s going to happen.” They shifted their focus on Supervillain, who had a small frown upon his brow. His hand had left Leader’s ruffled hair, taking a more guarded stance. Finally taking them seriously, huh. “I am leaving and taking my team with me. Or else I’m going down.” They grinned. “And taking everyone in this room with me.”

The villain stared at them for a few long moments. Then he straightened up and smiled. “No, I’d rather you see this through the end.”

Hero blinked. “Very well then.”

Even Hero was blinded by the flash their power caused.

@whumplicity @jumpywhumpywriter @dreamingofviolence I present you my mentally unstable hero
