In case anyone is having a bad night

(The best of this post and its reblogs, but with links that work)

Here is a website where you can scroll down to all the different levels of the ocean

Here is a website where you can see the future of the universe

Here is a website where you can press a ‘make everything okay’ button, over and over, until things really are okay

Here is a website that you can read if you feel like a burden

Here is a website where you can look at strobe illusions (TW strobe/flashing)

Here is a website where you can cut stuff up (TW blood/sh)

Here and here are websites where you can play with sand

Here is a website where you can draw with macaroni and other fun foods

Here is a website where you can paint someone’s nails

Here is a website where you can grow a garden with emojis

Here is a website with hundreds of videos of people hugging you (rightfully dubbed ‘the nicest place on the internet’ because it really is, y’all, it made me cry)

Here is a website that will take you to other useless websites

Here is a website where you can make a tiny cat play bongo drums (and other instruments!)

Here is a website to help give you gentle reminders <3

Here is a website where you can grow a tiny farm

Here is a website where you can take a bunch of scientific personality tests

Here is a website of calm rain noise

Take a breath. It’s going to be okay, I promise.

Three things:

  1. I am glad that in 2026 I find out about twitter from tumblr.
  2. I did not "dance around" the manic pixie dream girl. I sought to write books exposing the dangerous lie that a person is more than a person. The romanticization (mostly by boys) of the Romantic Other is extremely dangerous, and that was a central theme of my first two books. If people read them as MPDG books, then I failed at my first and most fundamental task and I'm sorry.
  3. I did not build the hospital. Nerdfighteria paid for a hospital that Sierra Leoneans built. We paid for the hospital partly through Hank and I donating money, but mostly thanks to the thousands of people who pay for the hospital every month and my brother's stupid but brilliant idea to create Netflix For Socks.

i love how the seaosn 2 ending almost haunts the season 3 one. they're similiar in a lot of ways but their circumstances have been amplified and have only gotten worse

rhaenyra is in a state of entrapment in both scenarios but before, she was mostly where she wanted to be. she was going to take back her birthright and take the enemy out at the head. it was a stable plan that wasn't full of corruption. now she has been pushed by her limit and is choosing to shut the world out and become a tyrannical leader when she has wanted to remain merciful

alicent is, in her own way, free now. she's surrounded by nature in both instances, wearing the blue that represents her freedom and true identity. she has been unburdened by the weight of the crown. but unlike before, she is now lacking purpose. she entered the season with the goal to save helaena, she ended it alone

i find it symbolic that they've both found themselves alone in the end. i think it'll be very important that for the first time, they'll be entering a new season in a similar place in terms of the loss and anger they'll be feeling
