I really like watching novels in the television with my parents and some time ago there was a character named Mavi(a man) , i never had saw that name anywere so i found it really cool and a little later when i was looking for a masculine name for myself i remembered it and decided to use it. The thing is that the majority of the people who i told this name about said that it were a female name and it made no sense to change to it, so i picked a closer name that is undeniably masculine, Ravi

Plus i always found really cool to change letters for numbers and constantly find myself adding letters in the end of words to an animated effect

Wish I had a cool story like this one 🫠

I opened my AO3 account to read and write Julie And The Phantoms fics back in 2020. My favourite character was Reggie, so I wanted something to do with him and this was the opening of one of the songs

My lore.......... Is that I got tired of deepfried-shortpeople because that had been my url for One William Years, and I had a sideblog already titled deathicus-sling because that was supposed to be my irl publishing pseudonym. I just liked the name Deathicus Sling though so now everything is Deathicus Sling. The end. Rip deepfried-shortpeople you were an ICONIC url.

Okay, so while I do have a what-these-words are referencing but that’s not really the lore behind the change to analogousstructureamrod.

Let’s begin, I was thinking of changing my name bc the previous user name was heavily associated with my old accounts which I didn’t really want and—while this is so silly in retrospect and I know it—the previous user name was reading as too feminine for me (trans man here). So, I started thinking of changes.

I wanted a science-y term in the name, and I originally thought of convergent evolution but then I switched to analogous structure because it was related and made more gramatical sense (I guess). Also it would make someone question ‘wtf is this user being similar to/wtf is an analogous structure’

Then I wanted something silm related bc I’ve been obsessed with it for a bit and I liked that others in my fandom could easily identity me as a member as well, so I went to thinking of characters. Then came Amrod, who is a twin like me and not too popular character (at least on his own) and I liked the repetition of starting with a.

So that’s it. I did float the idea of a funnier name or Dr.Analogous but I didn’t really like it.

Rana Temporaria is the scientific word for the European common frog! (Also known as the grass frog!!!) They're my favorite frog and I love them dearly, glad I chose them as a username cause it makes it easy to nickname me (I get a rush of joy everytime someone calls me Rana lol)

Aria Greenleaf was my (starting out in the first few weeks as a) self insert character (that’s why her name is now my name after ages help), my first OC in the Silm and the narrator of the huge AU I was working on (hence her as the "author"). She was supposed to be Legolas‘ mom hence the "Greenleaf"

uhh shadowsofsaturnn. misted_shadow is a username i used since i was a child, but lwky toooo many people mistook me for a teenage boy with an obsession over being edgy and emo. So i changed it to shadowsofsaturnn. saturn was an old nickname i had in a discord server which i was somewhat active in, and it sort of stuck ig. the extra n is because the username shadowsofsaturn is apparently unavailable. :Sob:

Starships4birds or Starshipsforbirds stems from a deep rooted belief of mine that we should give birds access to starships and set them loose /j. Genuinely though, I just enjoy the idea of birds in space, the whimsy of it brings me much joy! Imagine a little bird getting to safely explore the vastness of space! Give them starships, it's for a good cause!

🫩 no i don't think those characters are siblings i think they're friends. I don't think that's their mom I actually think she's their friend. I don't think they're related actually I think they're friends with each other.
