#the latter one is THE LOOK for me #that's someone actively choosing derek over something he KNOWS they want more #and maybe it's not really derek. maybe it's the mystery or protecting his friends or something else derek can't even guess at #but the reality is there's a girl to woo a game to win a parent to impress literally any one would be something anyone else would bail for #and instead. instead stiles chooses to stay. knowing he won't make it. knowing he's blowing up maybe his only ever chance for first line #and therefore all the renown that comes with that (girl. proud dad. maybe somehow gaining popularity w an epic play) #for someone he doesn't even like for someone he should feel no qualms about abandoning for someone he owes nothing #look at the way derek is bamboozled by him in the last gif. he can't believe it and he's somehow watching it happen #he's impossible and he's sitting right next to him #of course my failson then immediately smashes stiles' face. i can literally feel his hindbrain going: FEELINGS BONKED nO THANK YOU #but then stiles is in danger? he rushes into it headlong and stands in the way of it without question #like this little however-many-minutes long scene is IT. it's the whole thing. it's everything. #the pool scene is also great i will not lie but this is the one that made me ship it #that complete *disbelief* on derek's face that someone - anyone - is choosing him #how can i not just want to wrap him in blankets and give him the boy who made him believe maybe he was worthwhile even if just for a minute (via @wellhalesbells)

He is used to shirtless Derek so he thinks he will be okay but the first time he is actually in top of him in a bed Stiles is lost, flushed all the way to his toes, it feels like too much but he wants more god he is so lost
Uhg, I just love completely messed Stiles and Derek being able to enjoy all that
The thing is, I do think that Derek would care that Stiles killed Donovan because it hurt Stiles. The reason Stiles and Malia broke up is because she knew and did not bother to even pretend to care. She was blind to his pain. If we're going to add Derek in the mix, then Derek has to care that Stiles is struggling and is traumatised.
Would Derek be immediately judgemental? Of course not. He was ready to fight off Chris to save the Nogitsune/Stiles. But he would be a safe harbor for Stiles and would actually listen to him.
au where derek is feral and loses his sense of smell for some reason but he still has his eyesight. stiles is searching and searching for him and waiting for him to come home but derek doesn't know where to go, he's lost and doesn't remember stiles specifically, just the energy of him. he knows he misses someone and needs to get back to them.
one day he's wandering around the forest and finally makes it into town, and he knows stiles is near but can't tell where. he looks at all the mailboxes trying to figure it out, when suddenly there's one with the triskelion on it. that must be where his mate is, he knows it. stiles tagged the mailbox just for him, to call him home.
the door opens and derek knows he is home at last.

I wanted to ask if you know of any fics where the nogitsune isn't just totally evil and Stiles isn't actually being hurt by the possession? I read something a really long time ago where stiles and the nogitsune kind of work together instead of constantly fighting each other but I don't remember much.
