hi :) i'm sandu, a digital artist from finland, powered (and plagued) by an endless desire to create and hindered by real life responsibilities. gifted with a brilliant sense of humour and ruined by a complete lack of self-discipline. i'm passionate about illustrations, animations and music. this is my main blog where i reblog random bullshit.

go check out my carrd if you wanna know more about me :3 (including all my other socials)

also go check out my youtube channel!

i use a decent amount of tags, here's them categorised and what they all mean:

I compare these two scenes when trying to explain why the early episodes feel different than modern episodes. Characters were allowed to feel without it being turned into a joke. Early seasons touched the heart in a way modern seasons don't.

I enjoy some modern episodes, some are good, and make you feel, but it's not the same and I don't think it ever will be.

I think cis women should be allowed to get top surgery even if its not for a medical reason like breast reduction or cancer. I think they should be able to get it even if they're completely cisgender. Some women are just sick of dealing with them and would be much much happier never needing to wear a bra again

Male privilege is not just the privilege of people treating you nicely or not following you in the street. Even if we assume every trans man passes perfectly and no one knows they are trans they still don't have most of the privileges that a cis man has.

Trans men don't have the privilege of

Being able to travel to different countries

Being able to get daily healthcare

Not being assaulted in prision

Not being institutionalized in mental health facilities

Having clothes, car seats, ect designed for our bodies

Being able to play professional sports

Using the bathroom without worry

Showing people our baby photos

Being able to talk to extended family

Not being disowned

Getting trans specific health care (hysterectomys, top surgery, phallo/meta) easily or at all

Posting photos online and having people internet stalk us to find out our dead name and pre transition photos

Being able to buy binders

Being raped and forced to carry a pregnancy to term due to abortion bans and abusive partners

Getting and keeping full time employment

I would have had way more privilege as a cis (white) woman than I do now as a (white) trans man. Sure sometimes trans men have situational privileges the examples I experience the most is not getting catcalled (unless they clock me) or being taken more seriously in college classes then cis women (unless the prof clocks me) but in exchange for that I am at constant risk of being put into a fucking concentration camp and killed by the us government because we live in a fascist country and I'm a tr@#ny communist.

I still get angry when I remember the "transmascs are appropriating transfemme culture by loving the Ikea shark" discourse.

Because not only is it a mass-produced, corporate plush that can be bought by anyone in the world for $30, but also... what an insult to people who have undergone real appropriation of things they actually created, that actually WERE key parts of their culture. What an insult to indigenous people whose religious and other ceremonial fashion was stolen because it "looked cool." What an insult to black musicians who spent years having every kind of music they made derided as "not real music", only for said genres to enjoy blasts of popularity once white people stole it. What an insult to people of color who have their culture presented as zany wacky amusement park fare instead of being respected.

Some groups of people are actually having their culture stolen, and you think it's appropriate to make this claim about a shark plushie anyone can buy that wasn't even designed by a transfemme in the first place? A plush made by a company that, for the record, has historically engaged in slave labor to make their products.

Which is so fitting, because it means this group of people is appropriating the term "appropriation" from people who have actually experienced cultural appropriation.

You aren't victims of cultural appropriation. What you are is gatekeepers. Blahaj no more belongs to you than Dig 'Em the Honey Smacks frog belongs to enbies.

Now if you want to talk about someone in the sphere of gender minorities who has undoubtedly been the victims of appropriation, let's talk about how the terms AMAB and AFAB (and CAFAB and CAMAB) were stolen from the intersex community, shall we?

got my new boyfriend from Ikea. Unfortunately he’s made of particle board and with a single thrust of my hips I broke him into five pieces

sure is yeah. keep me updated

How you know you’re in the great state of Alabama

I don't have a picture, but our area is flooded with a dude holding a comedically large hammer and looking to sue the shit out of any truckers that have injured you.

THE TEXAS HAMMER

Alexander Shunnarah is such a big meme in Alabama that people got this man to attend anime conventions multiple years in a row as a special guest that furries and cosplayers can take pictures with and get autographs from. He's on nearly Every billboard in the state.

don't forget these jungle law billboards i have to pass every day

that doesn't even scratch the surface there are so so many of them

I remember my friends and I laughing our asses off when we saw this billboard.

used to pass this every day

This is just how lawyers are.

morris bart is practically a state celebrity in louisiana

this is in no way aro and/or ace exclusive problem, but it is deeply annoying to me how "i wish there was mainstream representation of me so i didn't feel so alone" gets met with "are you stupid, there is a bunch!!!" and then they name random indie online media that total 5 people ever have heard and just 2 of them have actually finished.
