/////The Next Ten Minutes/////
Cosette giggled faintly as she walked through the park with Marius, swinging their interlocked hands back and forth. “No, no, that one is definitely Jerry Seinfeld.” She laughed faintly. “Hey! I heard they put in a new exhibit at the museum, we could go check it out?” She suggested as they walked up the cobblestone walkway.
She pulled him up the small steps and she smiled as they moved onto the small dock. She pulled him onto the bench and she sat down with a faint sigh. “Marius… I was wondering-” She got cut off by him but she couldn’t help but smile at his reference. “If you’d like to go to the museum?” He asked. She laughed softly and shook her head, gently taking his hand before regaining her composure. Cosette played with his fingers for a second before looking back up at him. “I was wondering if you would be willing to share your life with me?” She asked sheepishly.
“Just for the next ten minutes. We can just sit and watch the waves as the time ticks by… Then if we make it through then, could I ask you for another ten?” She questioned softly, looking up at him.
“ And if you in turn agree to the next ten minutes and the next ten minutes, till the morning comes, then just holding you might compel me to, ask you for more. Would that be alright?” She asked him.
Cosette held her breath as she waited for him to speak. “…I might not always be on time, I want you to know that now..” He began. “But I’ll always eventually be there, and I always eventually make it. But if you’d be willing to wait, then I promise I’ll make it eventually.” He whispered softly to her.
She slowly stood up and pulled him with her. “I want to be your wife… I want to bear your child.” She admitted to him. “I want to be forever in your arms, for the next ten lifetimes…”
“Until no one is left, would you wait for me?” He asked her after she finished her sentence. “Of course I would. I’d wait for you forever, no matter how long it takes as long as I know you’re on your way.” She said, leaning against him. “I won’t ever be complete until I hear you say I do but I’d still wait no matter how long it takes.”
She glanced around before looking back at him. “For the next ten lifetimes, I want to be with you for as long as I am alive…”
