specifically when it goes
"Ive been known to throw a tantrum when things are not the way i imagined them" — can tie back to when they had a fight lowkey from both povs but more so Asra
and then
"i am restoring the natural order learning the same lesson over and over again" — each time Asra tries connecting apprentice back to their past and it goes wrong
i feel like the line
"lying awake, you were the glow in the dark" — can also be from their pov. back when they first met and Asra was already hoping to see the apprentice again, seeing them every year. then after their death the hope of them coming back keeping them strong through the palace. from apprentices pov too Asra has been the only constant presence they've had after they lost their memories. the first face they saw when they awoke, always the person they turned to when things got hard, through the route mc even has a choice to tell them that after visiting lazaret while they're watching fireworks on the boat (you bet i picked it so fast lmaoo)
i love them so much theyre so dear to me pls
your brain… magnificent !!! also YES the chapter with the fireworks and lazaret remains one of my favorites in his route. it’s such an important milestone to their relationship and the sweet heart to heart makes mine MELT. and the CG art from that chapter too…? exquisite gimme 14 of them right NOW
might i add its also the most devastating chapter of it all its been hunting me for years
just imagining asra digging until his fingers bled finding only ashes and bones
no matter the nature of their relationship at that point mc was clearly a source of comfort for asra back then
and asra who has lost his parents at a young age who have left and never returned and now theyre grown up and once again they come back only to find a person they found comfort in is gone
and apprentices last words being "im sorry" and asra probably doesn't even know their last thoughts were about them and the regret they felt over their last interraction and how theyd have to find out about it
