EMERGENCY COMMISSIONS FOR DENTAL HEALTH

hi guys. as some may know ive been having some issues with my dental health. due to what i am assuming is deficiency or some level of malnutrition my teeth within the past year and a half have become extremely weak and brittle. i have officially just now lost my 2nd tooth with many of my others being cracked and broken. i am sitting right now with my tooth in my hand as it just broke off as i was trying to eat a piece of bread.

i do not have insurance and i was never taken to the dentist as a child. i know it will be extremely expensive to get any work done on my teeth but its becoming more and more dangerous for me to hold off on it and commissions are my only source of income as a disabled and schizophrenic artist.

that being said i have commissions open on my vgen. i also have commissions open on kofi, as well as monthly subs and accept tips as well. please please share this if you can and i will be so grateful. i genuinely dont know what to do. my commissions will be on sale on both for this emergency situation.

Chapter Thirteen

Summary: Obi Wan is not used to being vulnerable. In fact, it's something he's avoided for the past decade, so what is it about Cody that makes this discomfort possible? And what's more, why does Obi Wan like it?

Excerpt:

Obi Wan blinked at him. “I…um…I think sex is how I communicate sometimes.” Obi Wan mumbled apologetically, feeling suddenly called out and weirdly embarrassed.

Cody brushed Obi Wan’s hair off his forehead and placed a gentle kiss between his eyebrows, “and that’s amazing. But you’re a gifted writer, Obi Wan. You must have a way with words too, right? Maybe you just need to use them more.”

Obi Wan scoffed, “It’s never done me much good in the past.”

Cody nuzzled his face, his nose bumping against his cheek as he slowly moved to his ear, “Maybe you’ve just been with the wrong men. And women.” Cody added with a smile. “Tell me.”

Obi Wan turned to him in confusion. “Tell you what?”

Cody smiled, tilting Obi Wan’s chin slightly and capturing his lips, “everything.”

If Obi-Wan were prone to dramatics, he might wish to be on a battlefield instead of PR’s attempt to drum up war support from the public.

“I forgot to tell Waxer to check the supply line order before sending it out—“

So does Cody, if he had to guess.

“Turn that frown upside down, Commander,” the photographer says cheerfully and continues to click away, equally as cheerfully.

Cody does something to his face Obi-Wan theorizes must approximate a smile under torture.

“On second thought,” the photographer paddles back airily, “a serious look is just as appropriate!”

Cody’s face falls into its usual expression with the additional pain of PR responsibilities.

“General,” he gnashes out between his teeth, “the supply line order is incomplete and we’ve officially just lost the chance to do it. We’re going to be out of DC15 chargers in another month and I have to stand here—.”

“B3,” Obi-Wan interrupts before Cody can spiral further.

Cody halts in entirety, stare boring into the camera and making the photographer start to sweat. “…B2.”

Obi-Wan hides his too pleased smile behind a hand. “I told Waxer to check the supply line order. The order status is complete and languishes through the many hindrances of bureaucracy as we speak. C3.”

“A3,” Cody shoots back immediately. And narrows his eyes. “Did you finish signing off on the battle plans for Dxun V this morning? I know you wanted to reread the exfil plans—“

“Commander, look here!”

“— and we need to get them to the admiralty today if we want any hope of meeting the timeline.”

“Gentlemen, serious, not angry! Or like a stunned tooka, General.”

Obi-Wan has, in fact, forgotten about the signature entirely, the blank line getting buried underneath all the other pressing minutiae somehow necessary to run a systems army. He waves at the photographer, polite smile in place. “If I might suggest a pose? Is that appropriate? I do not intend to undermine your professional experience.“ He gets an enthusiastic nod in response. “I hold this here data pad and act like I am signing important documents. Like so? Splendid.” He turns back to Cody. “Of course I have. A1.”

Cody visibly chooses not to comment and Obi-Wan smiles brightly at him. Cody shakes himself out of his thoughts after less than a second. “We are allowed our pads? I’m getting mine.” He pauses, sly eyes creased in humor. “Also, C1. I win.”

Obi-Wan can feel his smile growing even more.

Gentlemen!”

in cohorts with @adiduck on this one

Love everything about this!

I just want fics where Obi-Wan doesnt have a beard in the clone wars and all the media with him in it gets a backlash of ‘YOURE LETTING A 16 YO BE A HIGH GENERAL??????’ And whenever they senate is all ‘omfg he’s not 16 Kenobi tell them ur not 16’ Obi-Wan, the little shit, just goes ‘🥺 they make a lot of teens and preteens fight here. It’s not my first war either 😔’ and somehow it all gets blamed on Palpatine and it really makes things mild when someone finds his dead body in his office. There were a lot of lightsaber scorches and even a few dozen knife wounds in his chest. They ruled it a suicide 😔 a tragedy.

But really I just want Obi-Wan lookin like a shiny while Anakin won’t stop asking him why he shaved the beard and the clones are all ‘HES OLD ENOUGH TO GROW A BEARD????’ And it’s. Amazing.

I wrote a thing....

This is beautiful and I love you thank you 🥺🥺🥺

😂😂 I love this and I think it’s funny but I also want at the end for Obi-Wan to grow his beard back if only to prove to the clones he can because they refuse to believe he’s older than 20

This is amazing. I’m so invested in in-beared Obi Wan.

I have a theory about something in the Kenobi series (plus art)

Ok, so you know that part where obi wan and Vader get into that duel and obi wan’s shoulder gets burned?

yeah alright this is what my whole conspiracy is about - well, more specifically, what happened after.

Obi-Wan was quickly rescued from the scene of his injury by the rebels he was working with, and they immediately set him up in a bacta tank - standard medical procedure for burns.

Based on the severity of the burns, it may have taken a few days to properly heal - more time than obi wan was willing to give up, as the moment he woke up, he refused to spend anymore time to let his damaged body repair itself and set back off on his mission despite being visibly physically taxed.

now, the question is: why?

Okay, first there’s the obvious we all agree on: he’s our Jedi hero, no matter how old or depressed he gets. He will absolutely not spend anytime on himself while there is a child - Leia - out there in danger who he has been tasked with being the rescuer of.

But I wonder if there was more to it than that.

Perhaps it was not simply an act of heroism. Perhaps it was also a twisted way in which obi wan made himself pay.

Pay for what he did to his brother Anakin; the person very closest to him, the person he loved above anyone else. The person who he left to burn to death. The person he damned to a life of constant suffering from burns obi wan himself inflicted.

Maybe he didn’t give himself the chance to heal properly because he didn’t want to heal. He wanted to keep hurting. Forever.

His shoulder was in no way comparable to Anakin’s entirely mutilated body, but nonetheless, if he made sure it never stopped hurting it would serve as a reminder. A physical way to ensure he never forgot the pain he caused Anakin.

to remind him to never, ever forgive himself.

Alright, that’s quite enough. Here’s some codywan:

they should have added cody to that show - FOR MY MENTAL HEALTH AS MUCH AS OBI’S!

Wow!

Codywan heals all!
