yooo shout out to my tutor for knowing that generated text uses so many dashes bc it was trained off of fanfiction and then 1) defending fanfiction and 2) defending the em dash!!

YO the same teacher just reference to The Song of Achilles as his favorite adaptation of the Odyssey๐Ÿ™Š๐Ÿ™Šwhy is bro so based?

from July 1 to August 1, I have read and downloaded 2,338,085 words of fanfiction surrounding my current favorite ship (and Iโ€™ve probably read more than that if you include the one shots I read and didnโ€™t download) but I have no one to talk to about it because none of my friends are part of the fandom, and itโ€™s a lowkey very embarrassing ship to support ๐Ÿ˜”๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

I want to write a character relationship so complicated that when an outsider finally dares to ask, "so what's going on between you two?" the only response is a dramatic sigh, a far off stare, and a flashback sequence that lasts half a dozen chapters (but still only just scratches the surface)

I'm getting more and more obsessed with romances that almost were. They will gaze longingly at each other when the other isn't looking. They will ask each other's friends about each other. They will talk about anything (the weather? the socioeconomic state of the world?) just to get a chance to chat. But they will never hold hands.

write a shapeshifting character so deeply insecure and so painfully unaware of it that they would ask a romantic partner (after dating for a bit) what they should change about their physical appearance.

"What?" "I mean like do you want me to be blond or something? I don't mind, really, anything you want." "No, you really don't have to--" "I know you like men too. That's okay, I could be a guy for a night or a week. Don't be afraid to ask, I know it's not personal or whatever."

writing prompt: Imagine a city where there is a highly established superhero and supervillain (who have been rivals for years). The main character is a vigilante who idolizes the hero and wants to track down and kill the villain. They succeed. Only for it to be revealed that the superhero and supervillain are the same character
