Ok this blog is big enough now that I probably should've already had an intro post:

  • Why do you write like that?
Undifferentiated text is hard for me to read and it makes it harder for me to organize my thoughts when I don't. The fact that Tumblr let's me stylize my text like this is a big reason why I started one at all. If it bothers you, please block me instead of complaining that I should accommodate your reading style instead of my own, on my own blog.
  • Various important beliefs:
Jewish, Witch, Anti-zionist, Ancom
  • Things I will block you for:
Antisemitism, "all religion is a cancer", zionism, racism, ableism, fatphobia, ecofascism, queerphobia of any flavor, any bigotries I failed to think of off the top of my head, and also sometimes just because I didn't dig your whole general vibe and decided I don't ever want to interact with you again
  • Additional facts about me:
My name is Plum, I'm non binary, 30+, Audhd, chronically ill, and definitely a human creature

On today’s episode of reasons why I fucking dislike cis people.

The uterus is not a special portal to life, it’s a bag of flesh. It doesn’t make you a woman. It just means you’re a fucking mammal and part of a mammilian species that reproduces sexually. Fucking cishets.

Anyone who violently objects to terms like "birthing person" really needs to explain why they don't think women are people. And in fact why they seem to believe that women are such a distinctly different category than people, that the association is offensive to pregnant women.

Because that whole train of thought feels a lot more offensive than calling women people.

The thing about men like musk or trump or tate etc. is that they're like a personality litmus test.

If you find anything redeemable in the way these men behave, it is actively a character flaw. If you can find them likable you are not a good person.

I don't need to know anything else about you.

How am I? I'm OK!

  • Overwhelmed
  • Kinda losing it ngl

But it's ALL GOOD!

  • Actually pretty terrible
  • Literally the worst
  • Like, what are we even doing here
  • Goddamn this shit is fucked
  • Oligarchs are ruining the entire planet
  • Overtly! They are not even hiding it
  • Dooming our futures before our eyes

This isn't your first rodeo? That's great! I've been to zero rodeos and I am totally out of my depth here, so can I trust you to just handle all this?

No, you really can't call me. Or message me. I cannot be contacted, because I'm just a myth.

Sorry about that! I know my lore is very convincing, but scholars believe I don't exist. Sightings of me are largely attributed to feral raccoons and occasionally bears with mange.

This was supposed to say "rabid raccoons" but I just realized I accidentally said feral, which I think technically makes no sense because we have not domesticated raccoons therefore I don't think they can be considered "feral."

But I don't want to edit it, so someone please domesticate raccoons so my joke makes sense

Not to be rude, but this reality really sucks. A Multiverse of Infinite Possibilities & we got this.

If there's a god out there assigning souls to their respective Universes, I think we should eat them.

Maybe we gain their powers. Maybe it's just cathartic. Either way I think we've earned this.

Or perhaps there's a different group of disproportionately powerful beings who are actively sentencing the world to endless suffering, whom we could just eat instead.

Some Mantras for The Internet:

  • Every post I see does not need my input
  • Every post I see is not about me
  • I do not owe every commenter a response
  • The Block Button is always a good choice

Thinking about the stanford prison experiments. You know, that famously unethical clusterfuck led by a guy who should've lost his licence for how irresponsibly he ran this experiment.

Where basically he took a bunch of college dudes and amped them up to feel like nothing they did could have any real world consequences, and then gave them real power over other students and it went off the rails so bad they cancelled the whole thing in a week.

And the study itself doesn't mean much in terms of the prison psychology they were trying to study, but it was an interesting demonstration of how certain people can be rather easily goaded into acts of extreme cruelty.

Also thinking about who ICE recruits and how they dehumanize their targets while creating a culture of imperviousness to consequences, and then giving them real power over other people.

Except this experiment didn't stop in a week. It's been ongoing for over two decades. The cruelty has only gotten worse as their power expands.

It's not speculation. We've seen how they behave in broad daylight, in public and on camera. What do you think they're doing when no one can see?

This is true for law enforcement agencies as a whole too, but I'm thinking about ICE in particular right now, because they currently have the most funding and the least oversight.

stealing this from op, cause it’s a great and highly valid post except for the fucking death threat in the first tag

OOP: [describes transandrophobia]

Also OOP: If you name the thing I just described, which I claim to care about, I will fucking kill you.

Hey pal, give me a break. This is my first time being alive. There wasn't even a tutorial or anything and the forum advice is too convoluted.

Getting older is so cool. I love aging. I plan on doing a lot of it. I don't fetishize my youth.

I love my grey hairs. I love my wrinkles. I love that the proof that I am alive and changing is etched into my very skin. Can't wait to get older.

Can't wait to grow into new iterations of myself. They lied to you, kids. Getting older is awesome.
