to be honest I’m such a big fan of ginger snaps and jennifer’s body and all the “killing men” movies and shows but I honestly hate the way people interact with them. It feels so disrespectful to the messaging of the movies and the intricacies of the movies to dilute the narrative down to a misandrist “I hate men uwu” mindset (or the alternative ‘I love older men’ girlblogger mindset but let’s not even…) like girl, that is not what this film is about. Jennifer’s Body is about so much more than Jennifer killing boys, it’s about the complicated relationships between teenage girls, the patriarchal based competitiveness that develops in those kind of relationships, the horror and consequences or lack thereof of rape, misguided and mistargeted rage, AND it’s vaguely a metaphor for 9/11. But no, it’s just a movie about Megan Fox killing boys 🙄
