Early 70s, young at heart, whippersnappers DNI

I have a new game out!

The Prophet's Path is a short worldbuilding game for one or more players. In this game, you and perhaps some others will narrate the slow, drawn-out death of a single person.  He will die of the elements, chased on by the forces of your world, watched over by the stars. You and perhaps some others will take on the role of each of these in turn, drawing cards and building his path, the final journey of one who has seen what will come after his death. You will need a deck of tarot cards and a place to put them down. Pen and paper for notes. About three hours playtime, depending on your table.

The end product of this game is a set of constellations that have presided over the death of your prophet.

They make a good unique zodiac for your world but could also serve as a pantheon of gods, a cartel of megacorporations, distant alien alliances, anything your heart desires and your imagination can serve!

Like all of my games the Prophet's Path is free to download and fun to play! If you give it a try I would love to hear your thoughts any time!

It's still crazy that Anita Sarkeesian did some pretty basic Feminism 101 videos about things like "It's bad when a woman only exists in a narrative so her death can serve as a man's motivation" yet gamers act like she's some sort of Radical Feminist Satan.

And to be clear, me calling it Feminism 101 isn't a dig against her. Her videos were meant to be introductory pieces to feminist analysis and that's perfectly fine. That's what makes it crazier that people act like she killed their grandma or something.

If I made a video about how I wish Princess Peach had more agency and this made people declare me a permanent harassment target I would become the Joker. She's way stronger than me and she deserves way better.

i love seeing my friends interests mentioned somewhere. its like woaaah. thats My Friends interest. from My Friend. wow. epic friend reference

remember that daily harvest food poisoning scandal from 2022 when people got mysteriously and severely ill after eating the french lentil and leek crumbles? that turned out to be from tara flour which got banned in 2024.

I’m finding people commenting on it like “this is what you get for eating ultra-processed foods!” and then you look at the fucking ingredients and it’s like

yeah man the ultra-processed foods of. dried up ground tomatoes.

#its the poor labor standards and lack of safety enforcement #thats what it always is

Not this time—at least not quite. There was no accidental contamination with a known toxin. The problem here is that in 1997 the FDA stopped reviewing new food additives and switched to a voluntary process that allows companies to privately self-determine whether an additive is safe is a “just trust me bro” process.

No object is good or bad by itself, it all depends on the use you give to it. The same stone that was used to kill was also used to scratch art on the walls of caves. Something very similar is happening with the internet nowadays. Technology is becoming our natural predator.
