Do you think it should be mandatory for people with driver's licenses to take a refresher driving course every set number of years* – ideally low-cost or funded with taxes – to hammer in the basics of driving, road rules, safety tips** etc, rather than only having to pass a driving test once?

**safety tips could include reinforcing why it's important to keep a certain distance from the car ahead of you and how the safe distance changes depending on various circumstances; how little time speeding/weaving through traffic actually saves vs how much it increases the risks; safety around cyclists/motorcyclists; examples throughout of what can and has happened when people ignore these things; maybe even basic maintenance so you don't get stranded with a flat and no idea how to put the spare on etc etc.

(also re: work, for the sake of this poll let's say it'd be similar to jury duty in the US, in that your employer is required to allow you paid time off work, or your school is required to give you unpunished time off, to complete this refresher course because it's mandatory. And fwiw I'm talking everywhere there are cars & resources to support this, not in any specific country. Obviously some people will still be dicks but we're not talking about them here)

The family historian/genealogist position does not have to be an official and/or paid position- just a member of the family who’s seen as the record keeper or reference resource for family history (ie, the family genealogist knows exactly how everyone’s related to everyone else, the historian keeps the paper records, photos, and documents for the family)

Context: I'm a gay boy. I went to a birthday party of a girl named Sara over the weekend. Sara lives with my best friend, Kate. Kate, Sara and I all went to a pre-party at a couple's house who are some of Sara's best friends (Anna and Mark). It was my first time meeting them. Kate's currently working her way into this friend circle too. They had a big group of girls over for the pre-party. We then went to the party, was fun - drinks, some other substances, everyone was on a good buzz. Sara ends up a little too wasted to stay out, but still wants to hang with everyone. We decide to return to Sara and Kate's flat for the afterparty, but the only person who came back with us was Mark and all the others stayed out at the clubs.

We continue to have drinks, do some lines, smoke some weed, etc. until Sara gets too sleepy and goes to bed. It's about 4:30 in the morning at this stage. Kate gets tired next, and I say that we'll finish our drinks and leave - but Mark chimes in and asks if we can smoke another joint (I am the one who brought the weed and can roll joints). Kate says she'll go to bed and we were good to hang longer, just to keep it down and lock up after we're done.

Kate goes to bed, Mark and I smoke another joint, and then are chilling back on the couch. Mark suddenly reaches over, and starts playing with my hair, and says "I want you" (just like that). In my intoxicated state, I'm intreagued, and rather than rejecting him, I leant in - and ended up giving him head, then he went home. I had the impression this was the first time he'd done anything with another guy. I am aware that I did the wrong thing in this situation - not a question about that.

The question to the poll is the following: Do I have a responsibility to share this information to any of the friends listed in the story - and who should be told? Or is this better to keep to myself? I don't want to out anyone, nor cause a massive rift in a friend group, or end a relationship unnecessarily.

I submitted so many song titles for Best Song Title so was disappointed that the blog was deleted overnight. I was looking forward to it, so it would be good if someone else does it.

Someone set up a best song title tournament and asked for submissions but then the blog got deleted before it had even started so I would like to see that.

Maybe a best TV theme song tournament - apparently there was one a few years ago which I didn't know about, but I don't think it would be a problem for another one to be done after so long.
