miscellaneous zelame archives: slayers wonderful edition
archiving here since I couldn't find collected screenshots anywhere else. Slayers Wonderful, the series's final videogame, has more zelame than NEXT. not only do we get Zel turbo-yearning (my favorite), we also have exchanges like this:

not to mention he's the one carrying her back to the inn in the scene referenced at the top of this post
who do we have to thank? there are just two story credits: the more junior role, scenario arranger Mizuho Yoshioka; and the overall story supervisor, some guy named Hajime Kanzaka. seriously though Kanzaka may have been pitched various scenes and dialogue that he oversaw, edited, and fine-tuned to make sure they were in line with his vision, or he may have done much of the work himself like he did with Aqualord, which was also intended for a videogame
kanzaka has said he's bad at romance and he clearly never intended it in the novels. but given how much zelame he supervised and approved throughout other continuities, one wonders if he always made someone else do it or whether he wrote some and had guidelines of his own. for all we know he was like "first off, she likes that man in women's clothing, so write that down"
inspired by a rant i was going on elsewhere bc someone tweeted something very stupid and uninformed about hamlet and it got my back up as someone who took two single-text-focus english literature courses in college and they were on wuthering heights and hamlet, i now put it to all of you on here:
