my name is aaishah, and this is my first post ever! i'm so excited to start this blog. i love star wars and it's literally all i think about at times. i hope whoever comes across this blog enjoys it, so without further ado..

i’ve said it before and i’ll say it again; the scene on bracca where Wrecker is showing Omega how to diffuse bombs is much deeper than a silly little intro to the episode.

the episode before, wrecker succumbed to his inhibitor chip just before they could take it out. he attacked his family and, against his wishes, hurt them. and while it’s very obvious they don’t hold it against him at all, i think this scene is showing just how much that affected him (let me be delusional).

he knows his brothers know how he works. he may be the demolitions expert, but his brothers aren’t dumb and could likely diffuse many of them if needed. he trusts that if something like that were to happen again, his brothers would be able to protect themselves from him. they’ve already proven such capabilities when crosshair’s chip activated.

but omega is young, and new. she doesn’t know everything about how the batch works yet. she certainly doesn’t know how to work with wrecker’s weapon expertise. and after what happened on that ship in bracca, that scares wrecker. he doesn’t want her to be utterly helpless against him if for some reason the rest of the batch isn’t there to protect her.

wrecker is not just teaching her how to diffuse a bomb to protect herself in general. he’s teaching her his work so if something were to happen to him again, omega can protect herself from him. the chip may be gone, but that trauma and fear certainly isn’t.

In my head Pabu is like a socialist or communist utopia. Like I picture them having free housing and healthcare and no “real” money just people trading with each other for what they need and want with what they already have. Also just a STRONG sense of community. People work but anyone who doesn’t work is still taken care of and there’s like a big daycare and school for all the kids. Is this just me or does anyone else think this?

This is how I view Pabu as well.

Maul wanted Savage as his apprentice because he genuinely loved his brother but had no idea how to handle any sort of relationship that wasn’t a Sith pair, and deeply regrets not being more of a brother to him after his death.

Maul wanted Ezra as his apprentice because he wanted to try again, but, alas, see above.

Maul wanted to turn Ahsoka to his side because he wanted to at least kill Anakin and stop the Empire rising, something that scared him so much he’d completely betray, and then likely face, Sidious to stop it. Also he saw a bit of himself in Ahsoka: traumatic apprenticeship, abandoned after their darkest hour, probably has a lot of anger against their master because of it. He missed the mark on pretty much all of that, but still.

Maul wants Devon as an apprentice because… uhh… villains make new villains, it’s what they do. Also something about “I won’t let him do this to anyone else” that wasn’t even in the original script and never gets brought up again, so probably isn’t relevant.

OBSESSED with this shot of Anakin and Fox in TCW. Look at them. Anakin's giving Fox the middle-aged-mom-who's-been-called-to-her-son's-school-because-he-got-in-a-fight-and-refuses-to-accept-he-started-it-and-is-making-it-the-lady-in-reception-who-has-no-idea-what's-going-on's-problem treatment. I love Fox being mildly scared because that is A Fucking Jedi™️ and not just any Jedi, More-Or-Less Space Jesus Anakin Skywalker™️ he's managed to piss off but also RADIATES the aura of "how fucking dare you point at me i'm just doing my job here bich" in his posture. Absolute cinema. 10/10. This is what Star Wars was made for.
