Last week, Mayor Karen Bass signed the first-ever Homes for LA funding awards, approving $360M to create and preserve affordable housing, prevent homelessness, and support a range of households across the City. 🎉
Funded through United to House LA (ULA) Affordable Housing Program Funds along with other sources, this investment will support 6 programs focused on building new affordable housing, preserving existing units, and stabilizing existing affordable housing for Angelenos.

For the first time, ULA funding will also support social housing models which will emphasize tenant governance, permanent affordability, and mixed-income developments.
This NOFA represents a new approach to financing that simplifies the funding process, shortening the time it will take to begin construction after receiving LAHD financing - meaning more affordable housing units and the preservation of existing units sooner.
