Good story on why the jobs market is so weird (demoralizing) atm. It may last a years. "If the jobs are really lost due to outsourcing or AI, then unless we find in a couple of years actually we still need those people and replacing them didn't work, then those jobs are gone."
The US economy is growing - so where are all the jobs?

Mark Zuckerberg seems to be signalling more layoffs in Q4/FY 25 call: "I think 26 is gong to be the year that AI dramatically changes the way we work. We're investing in native ia tooling... so we're elevating individual contribs and flattening teams. We're starting to see projects that used to take big teams now done by a one v accomplished person. I think were gonna get a lot more done and its gonna be a lot more fun."

Li re coding tools: “A big part of this is to enable the adoption and advancement of our ai coding tools – since the start of 2025 we’ve seen 30% increase in output per engineer. Were seeing even stronger gains with power users of ai tools, who’s output has increased 80% yoy"
