1. Meditation. Not an hour on a cushion. Ten minutes of sitting with your own thoughts without reaching for your phone. Meditation trains one specific skill above everything else. The ability to notice when your mind has wandered and bring it back. That is literally what focus is. Do it consistently for thirty days and the difference in how long you can concentrate on one thing without losing it will surprise you.

2. Journaling without prompts. Just sitting with a blank page and writing whatever comes for fifteen minutes. This practice trains your brain to stay with one train of thought long enough to develop it fully instead of jumping to the next thing the moment it gets uncomfortable. That discomfort is exactly where your focus gets stronger.

3. Chess or strategy games. Chess trains your brain to hold multiple possibilities in mind simultaneously while staying completely present in the current position. That skill transfers directly into how you think, plan and concentrate in real life. Even thirty minutes a week builds something your attention span has been missing. The discipline of the game becomes the discipline of the mind.
