I think the closest analogue to the upcoming Cambrian explosion of software is probably photography.

Casual photography was *truly* made accessible to masses via smartphones. And today, >99% of photos taken are probably this kind of "casual" photography. Despite that, people still ready to pay premiums for something a cut above when necessary (eg: wedding photographers)

At this moment,

feels closest to that smartphone-esque conduit for such "casual" software. It's powerful enough to make more than just cute toy applications and landing pages. And it's solving more than just making it easy to "write" the right code, it's removing the excess (and ideally unnecessary) baggage of stuff like deploying, scaling and making it shareable to your friends and to the world.

What if creating/sharing an app was as easy as taking/sharing a photo?
