in order to extract and reflexively recover the experiences of the process from the perspective of social work, concluding that overcrowding limits the process of
resocialization of the prisoner, the deficiencies of infrastructure and services to carry out prison work, and psychological therapies contribute to the low prognosis of rehabilitation [4].
A return to respectability, rather than a
resocialization of the self, is the ultimate goal of treatment.
Japarov noted that probation will contribute to the correction of a convict without isolation from society, the
resocialization of convicts is an important component of the new institution.
Immigrant men's unwillingness to be open to
resocialization could stem from, among other things, their loss of status, their relationship with service providers and the lack of support systems that embrace the family as a unit rather than as individuals (Maiter and Stalker 2011; Shalabi, Mitchell and Andersson 2015).
