1. A large moth (Zeuzera pyrina) native to Europe and also found in North America, having white wings with black spots and larvae that damage fruit and nut trees by boring into the wood.
2. A large tiger moth (Hypercompe scribonia) of North America, having white wings with small black circles and spots.
