About the store

Experience

I taught seven years in a traditional classroom setting teaching both 2nd and 3rd grades. In addition, I have 4 years homeschooling experience teaching 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. I am currently a PYP coordinator at an IB school.

Teaching style

I love teaching integrated curriculum that allows for differentiated instruction. I enjoy using hands-on center activities whenever possible. I thrive on finding fun ways to connect everything to literature if I can!

Awards & shining teacher moments

While I have no official honors or awards I can claim. I feel honored most by the students and families that have remained a part of my life for so many years. One of the true gifts of teaching young children is getting to watch who they become once they leave your classroom.

My own education history

Earned my BA from University of California, Santa Barbara and my Teaching Credential from San Jose State University.
