Employee Spotlight

Lieutenant Zachary Louis began his service with the Town of Suffield as a volunteer firefighter in 2006. In 2010, Zachary transitioned into a full-time career position, and was recently promoted to Lieutenant, marking an important milestone in his career and reflecting his leadership and commitment to the department.

Outside of work, Zachary enjoys spending time with his wife, son and English Bulldog, Winston. He enjoys traveling and vacationing, with one favorite destination being Santa’s Village in New Hampshire. In his free time, he also enjoys hiking, trying new restaurants and breweries, and experimenting with new recipes at home. A self-described grill master, he especially enjoys cooking steaks on the grill. In addition to responding to emergencies, you can find Zachary at the Main Fire Station providing several community services, including car seat installations and open burn permits.
