Much of the Fine & Performing Arts program is rooted in hands-on work experience, culminating in individual showcases, collaborative exhibits, and live productions. Class instruction emphasizes the artistic process, technical skills, performance, communication, art criticism, and aesthetic awareness in reference to historical and cultural context. Instruction is enriched through reading, research, discussion, the integration of technology, and exposure to visiting artists and professional performances.

Our dedicated Arts instructors work to develop the student’s ability to interpret, and evaluate imagery, movement, and sound; nurturing visual-spatial and musical intelligence; and cultivating a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Both independent and ensemble work are encouraged to develop self-reliance and confidence and to offer opportunities for social interaction and ethical development. Opportunities exist for student growth through local, state, and national festivals; conferences; and competitions.  From kindergarten through twelfth grade, students engage in a wide range of expressive and technical experiences, with signature Fine Arts Nights serving as capstone performances and exhibitions.

Upper school students took the spotlight at our very first Fashion & Film Showcase, a red carpet event celebrating original student films and student-designed fashion.
