Re: If your main character were an animal, which one would it be?
A mouse. Running gag throughout the story because he’s mute and begins very meek.
-
Re: Have you kept your identity as an author as a secret? Why?
No, not a secret at all. Before I release a chapter, I read it aloud to my husband story-time style and he helps me spot any mistakes I missed, too. It’s good fun.

Re: In sci-fi how reasonable and thought out should the science be?
Like someone else said, I think it depends on if you’re doing hard sci fi, regular sci fi, or science fantasy. I would say I’m writing regular sci fi. I have a lot of knowledge about viruses from my studies (...)

Re: how old are you?【translate by ai 】
Almost in the 25-34 age range.
-
Re: What is your favorite musical taste?
The band Starset. That’s it. That’s my taste in music.
-
Re: What writing advice improved your writing the most?
Read and write consistently. And when you read, read critically, analytically. Study how the author employs dialogue, description, and interiority to advance the plot.

Re: Check Google Play for your story. It might have been stolen, and you do not have to tolerate that.
That's actually crazy, thankfully at the very least mine isn't popular enough to get stolen I'm not sure it has to do with popularity. I thought the same because mine wasn't there at first, but now (...)

Re: Check Google Play for your story. It might have been stolen, and you do not have to tolerate that.
My story is being sold on there for $1 under some (I'm assuming AI-generated) author name. :DrakanFascinating:

Re: Is it just me?
Not just you. There’s been chatter about it on Reddit. Apparently summer is a slow season. Less people online, more people touching grass. Go back inside! Touch carpet instead! :Peopew: Haha. But yeah, (...)

Re: Should I change my character's name?
It's common on Royal Road because it's a common AI-generated name. ChatGPT, especially, loves it for fantasy, for whatever reason. But yeah, you do you. Unless your fiction is full of Kael, Elara, (...)

Re: Kael, Our Savior
Apparently, besides Kael, Silas is also a common one?? So is Elias, which sucks because my protagonist's name is Silas and his grandfather's name is Elias. I just like those names and thought it would (...)

Re: What do you guys do in your free time, except writing and reading on royal road?
Does reading on Kindle count? Haha. Watch anime, play with rats, occasionally interact with my husband (kidding, kidding, it's a tad bit more than occasionally), and hot power yoga. A video game once (...)

Re: The Trolley Problem 🚎
The overarching antagonist is a dying star, so I fear it would have to be a very large trolley indeed. Or, at the very least, one capable of traversing the stars.
-
Re: Use one totally bizarre scene to describe your book.
An army of humanoid insects raids a city armed with rats, rifles, and tanks.
-
Re: Multiple Books at Once
Kudos to you guys who can manage this. My flavor of ADD prohibits me from such feats in multitasking.

Re: 500+ Unique Followers and 100+ on Truthmancer
Hell yeah. Congratulations! :DrakanWine:

Re: What 'was / is' the biggest challenge for you on writing?
Varying sentence structure/length. When I first started, I wrote very long sentences. Then somewhere in the middle they were always super short and choppy. I’ve started getting better at it, and when I (...)

Re: Meet your maker....
My mc would use his powers to wipe all my memories so I’m little more than a newborn infant for the hell I’ve put him through. :DrakanMelt:

Re: Exhibit A: One Line. No Context.
He’d never been anything, only existing in the place before birth and the nothingness after death.
