PreWarCar.com started as a concept in 1998 when links on pre-WW II cars & makes were scarce. We are a portal for the scattered information on automobile history and car makes from Aachner to Züst. All information those famous and forgotten automobiles can be found here, including sports and racing cars and (hi)stories attached to them. Bringing together the classified, the auction, dealer, restorer, car club, enthusiast, gallery, rare pictures, event, motor show and rally is our mission.
We are always looking for new, interesting content for our websites. Because we value your individual participation we'd like you to share your stories with us. We love anything that is bizarre, different and away from what you see in general. We love barn finds. Unknown events. Forgotten makes of car and other oddballs. Yet it can also be about people, art and basically anything automotive as long it is intriguing.
Please do let us know if this appeals to you, we would be delighted to hear from you!

Jeroen Branderhorst
Sales manager
Jeroen (1983) has been crazy about prewar cars since he was 13 years old, reading all the great stories about the famous drivers of the 1930's. Especially Italian and English cars are his favourites, but his all time love is Alfa Romeo. Besides driving classis cars & rallies like the Mille Miglia, his other hobby is doing research on car history. After 14 years in the food industry he is now following his heart and started working in the classic car world for his favourite websites. He is married and has got three children. Jeroen speaks Dutch, German, English and Italian.

Jeroen Booij
Editor PreWarCar.com
Jeroen Booij (1975) has always had a soft spot for the underdog. He prefers Probes over Porsches and Ogles over Opels and has a real penchant for anything build in sheds. So far it lead to three books about Mini based cars and some extraordinary discoveries. He found the first car that Gordon Murray built in a British scrapyard, the sole Zagato Mini Gatto in a Milanese barrack and the 1966 Le Mans Mini Marcos in a barn in Portugal. Jeroen is married; he lives in a Dutch hamlet with three children and a cat.

Robin Batchelor
Author at PreWarCar.com
Robin has always driven old cars since his 17th birthday - mostly Bullnose Morris tourers which could easily be maintained with a modest toolkit.
During a forty year career flying balloons all over the world, on windy days his crew would retire to the pub while he sought out second hand book shops. Courtesy requires a balloon pilot to always ask permission from the landowner before retrieving the balloon and Robin discovered he could sniff out a Bullnose engine/axle/chassis from 50 paces in farmyards. He also found several complete cars that way and when flying in Africa, stumbled across a pre-war 6c Alfa Romeo!
The workshop gained more tools, the bookshelves gained more books and membership of the Vintage Sports Car Club gained him a few trophies, lots of friends and, within the pages of the Club's quarterly Bulletin, a love of well-researched and written motoring history.
After he sent a few contributions to our website many years ago, we encouraged him to send more.
