*NOTE: All lessons have been modified from their original form to meet student needs within Oceanside Unified School District while still adhering to the requirements of the California Healthy Youth Act. This modification process was done in collaboration between OUSD, the Health & Human Development Committee & Community Health Program Specialist, Tara Beeston. Opt-Out Form Details
- Comprehensive sexual health and HIV prevention instruction is provided by trained classroom teachers or community-based health educators.
- All content complies with California Healthy Youth Act and CA Education Code requirements.
- To opt your student out of Health and Human Development lessons, please complete the grade-level opt-out form linked below and return it to your student’s front office. Forms are also available in the front office.
Parents and Guardians are welcome to attend any school site preview as listed below if you are interested or have any questions.
