Michael Luo

Michael Luo worked at The New York Times from 2003 to 2016. Before he became an editor in 2014, leading a team of Metro reporters focused on investigations and long-form narratives, he had been an investigative reporter himself for three years, often writing about gaps in gun laws and the influence of the gun lobby. He also worked as a national correspondent; covered the 2008 presidential campaign and the 2010 midterms; and did stints in the Washington and Baghdad bureaus and on the Metro desk.
