Come get crafty at the Library!

Come write with us, inspired by objects. Sessions are led by Lia Buffa De Feo, an ever-curious native New Yorker and licensed NYC tour guide whose prompts are objects with hidden histories, including beach and thrift-shop finds.

For Ages 3+

Flutter into the Library for tales about butterflies.

Later this year, playwright Walker Caplan and New Relic Theatre will present an original play adapted from works by Susanna Centlivre and Ben Jonson in the Library's collection. In this participatory discussion, 2026 Playwriting Fellow Walker Caplan and Artistic Director Eliza Palter discuss the adaptation process and what the dramas of centuries ago can teach us about community boundaries and inclusion.
