Join Nine PBS and the Missouri History Museum for a special Juneteenth celebration during Thursday Nights at the Museum! Enjoy an evening at the museum featuring a live podcast recording of Listen, St. Louis, with a live studio audience—plus all the energy, stories, and conversation that come with it.
At this event, we will explore Juneteenth as a symbol of the resilience of the formerly enslaved while recognizing the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We will discover a new view of those who helped build St. Louis through their expert craftsmanship and remember their enduring impact on our community today.
Experience a live taping of the Nine PBS podcast Listen, St. Louis with Carol Daniel. The episode will include a discussion with Cicely Hunter, public historian, Missouri Historical Society, and Lyah B. LeFlore-Ituen, director of the African American History Initiative, Missouri Historical Society.
