At New Castle County, we’re committed to inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA).  As part of this commitment, we’re making efforts to ensure that our digital platform users, including those with different abilities, have a digital experience free of any barriers. By making this a priority, the County is striving to comply with all applicable accessibility regulations, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).  Website accessibility simply means that digital content and services can be used by anyone who uses the internet, and this IDEA is important to us.  To meet the needs of all users of Newcastlede.gov, we implemented AI tools to conform with Web Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and to ensure digital accessibility to as many residents as possible, we strive to meet Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.
