Fringe Mount Gambier is a vibrant regional arts festival that brings creativity, performance and community celebration to the Limestone Coast each year. Held across multiple venues throughout Mount Gambier, the event transforms the city into a lively hub of music, theatre, comedy and visual arts for several weeks each autumn.
The festival typically follows the conclusion of the famous Adelaide Fringe, allowing artists and performers to continue touring their shows through South Australia’s regional centres.

During the festival period, venues across the city host performances and exhibitions, from theatres and galleries to pop-up stages and outdoor spaces. This approach creates a festival atmosphere throughout the town, with visitors often able to experience several events in one evening. Workshops, talks and creative installations are also commonly featured, allowing locals and visitors to engage directly with artists and the creative process.
One of the highlights of the festival is FRiNGELAND, a free community event held in the city’s iconic Cave Garden precinct in the centre of town. This lively gathering features roving performers, street artists, live bands, market stalls, food vendors and activities for children.
The event brings together residents and visitors to celebrate the arts in a relaxed outdoor setting while showcasing regional food, wine, and craft beer.
Fringe Mount Gambier is more than just an entertainment event; it is also an important cultural celebration for the region. The festival encourages creativity, inclusivity and experimentation, giving artists a platform to present bold or unconventional works while audiences discover new forms of expression. For the local community, it provides an opportunity to experience world-class performances without travelling to a capital city.
With its mix of performances, exhibitions and street-style celebrations, Fringe Mount Gambier continues to grow as a highlight of the region’s cultural calendar. Whether you are a fan of theatre, music, comedy or visual arts, the festival offers a unique chance to experience the creativity and energy of South Australia’s thriving arts scene.

When do we actually see a program of what is on. This is the worst advertising I have seen of an event which starts in a few days time. I can not find out what is on from the advertising on the internet. Being involved in a group performing at the fringe I am very disappointed to be unable to find any mention of it any where.
Hi Peggy,
The only information which has been released (as far as I can tell) is:
Fringe in Mount Gambier is back with another extravaganza taking over the Cave Garden with a program of world-class performers and local artistic talent.
10am – 4:30pm Workshops
4:30pm – 5:00pm ‘Pied Piper’ Procession
5:00pm – 10:00pm Mount Gambier Fringe Showcase
Perhaps drop the organisers an email (the City of Mount Gambier) to see if there is any other information about your performance schedule.
Best regards,
Jess
