DJ CatManDude ain't your typical white boy from South Carolina in the U.S. He has lived around Asia (including Kathmandu) for 20 years teaching, researching and doing non-profit songwriting workshops. He currently teaches music at an international school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He may be older than the average DJ at 53, but that also means he has been alive long enough to hear a lot of great music. His students continually educate him on what's trending, but he also loves retro, house, trance, Celtic, worldbeat, organic house, gospel, and lots of remixes and remakes of the hits. He aims to communicate positive music at any gigs that come his way.

But nothing on school nights. He need to be alert for his kids.

Oh, yes ... about the cats ... he has three. Lucy was adopted in his India days 19 years ago, and in 2024, Malaysian kittens named Frankie and Luna came along in memory of Konya -- Lucy's Indian sister.
