Hanging TNT
Hanging TNTs[1] are obstacles in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its Nintendo Switch port. They are clusters of bombs and explosive barrels that are grouped and suspended from above with a rope in a similar fashion to that of Burlap Hanging Sacks. Hanging TNTs are rare, appearing in only one level—the Bright Savannah level Cannon Canyon. A Hanging TNT explodes on contact when one of the Kongs touches it, damaging them to the point when a heart is lost from their health counter. Hanging TNTs can only be destroyed safely by throwing a projectile at it, such as a barrel. They are maneuvered differently, with some being raised and lowered above the ground and others swooped across it.
Explosive objects with a likeness to Hanging TNTs can also be seen in the same level. They are tucked under long tree trunks, and they explode when approached, causing the trunks to fall over and potentially harm the Kongs. Those falling tree trunks act similarly to Screaming Pillars from Donkey Kong Country Returns.
