"Going for the Coins"^[1] is a musical theme in Mario Party 2, where it plays in the minigames Shell Shocked, Hexagon Heat, Bowl Over, and Hot Bob-omb. In Hexagon Heat, the theme speeds up as the minigame continues. Contrary to the name, this theme does not play in any coin-collecting minigames.

Mario Party: The Top 100Edit

In Mario Party: The Top 100, an arrangement of "Going for the Coins" plays in Shell Shocked and Hexagon Heat. It is erroneously titled "Take the Coin" in the game's sound test, which is the name of the theme that plays in the results screen for Battle minigames in Mario Party 2. In Hexagon Heat, unlike the original theme, this arrangement does not speed up as the minigame continues.

In Super Mario Party, a chiptune arrangement of "Going for the Coins" known as "Shell Shocked Deluxe" in the game's sound test plays in the eponymous minigame.

Mario Party SuperstarsEdit

In Mario Party Superstars, an arrangement of "Going for the Coins" plays in Shell Shocked (now named Tread Carefully). As with Mario Party: The Top 100, it is titled "Take the Coin" in the game's sound test.
