Tell Congress No More ICE and CBP Funding

Congress is considering a fast-track legislative process to allocate billions of additional dollars to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), the very agencies that are terrorizing our communities. All the while, millions of Americans are struggling to meet their basic needs.

Speak up now.

Thank Senators Who Opposed the SAVE Act

While the SAVE Act could be brought to the Senate floor again later this year, pro-democracy advocates across the country have shown just how hard we’re willing to fight to ensure equal access to the ballot box. We will continue to work together to protect voters from all voter suppression efforts, especially documentary proof of citizenship bills, like the SAVE Act!

Thank your Senator if they opposed the bill.

Unite and Rise to Defend Democracy

Unite & Rise 8.5 aims to build a movement of 8.5 million individuals to unite and rise up against the anti-democratic actions of this administration. Together, we'll take action from the courts to the streets and beyond.

Commit to the movement.

Oppose the SAVE Act Suite of Bills

Congress continues to introduce bills that would require voters to present documentary proof of citizenship (DPOC) to register and/or vote, including the SAVE America Act, the Safeguard Voter Eligibility Act (SAVE Act), and the Make Elections Great Again Act (MEGA).

The SAVE Act would create one more barrier to the voting process, as many eligible voters do not have easy access to the necessary documents.

Tell Congress to reject anti-voter policies.

Tell Congress the Census Must Count All People

Last year, the House and Senate introduced the Equal Representation Act (H.R.151 and S.2205) to add a citizenship question to the 2030 Census and exclude noncitizens from the apportionment process, which determines the number of members each US state sends to the House of Representatives.

Tell your Members of Congress the Census must count all people!

Tell Congress to Stop Interfering in DC

The District of Columbia, while known to many as the seat of our nation's government, is also where many people live, work, raise their families, pay taxes, and call home. However, unlike people living in the 50 US states, the residents of DC live under local laws that are subject to congressional interference. This is undemocratic.

Urge your Members of Congress to oppose interference in DC!

Tell Your Representatives to Protect Equal Voting Rights

Since the 2013 Supreme Court decision in Shelby County v. Holder gutted the Voting Rights Act (VRA), at least 31 states have enacted 114 voting laws that make it harder to vote, with the burden falling hardest on Black voters and other voters of color.  We need a fully restored VRA to defend our democracy and protect the freedom to vote.

Tell your members of Congress to protect the freedom to vote and support the passage of the JLVRAA.

Urge Congress to Stand Up for Democracy

Congress must act now to restore the stability of our nation before it’s too late.

This February, Leagues from all 50 states and DC wrote to Congress demanding they take action. Now, you can make your voice heard.

Urge your members of Congress to stand up for our democracy.

Demand Equal Rights

More than 100 years after some women gained the right to vote, the federal government has still not consistently recognized the constitutional right to sex and gender equality. The Equal Rights Amendment (ERA) constitutionally protects the equality of rights under the law regardless of sex.

Add Your Name to the Petition.

Support the Expansion of Voting Rights!

More than 50 years after the Voting Rights Act was passed, full protections for voting rights are not guaranteed for all voters. While we have made progress in expanding voter access, many people still face challenges to participating in elections due to factors including income, health, age, race, disability, and gender. Voting is a fundamental right, and all Americans deserve an equal opportunity to make their voices heard in our democracy.

Urge Congress to protect the right to vote!
