What LSTA is here to do

For more than three decades, LSTA has been the corporate loan market’s most dedicated and effective force for change. Deeply embedded in the market, our subject matter experts have a proven track record of consensus building – offering insights, clarity, context, even contrasting viewpoints, just not bias. We deliver actionable content that impacts your decision-making. We develop standards, best practices and policy recommendations where none existed before. And we advocate for everyone in the market – on both the buy side and sell-side. At our core, we are here to help the market, and you, thrive.

Our mission is to support yours

Specifically, the LSTA mission is “to promote a fair, orderly, efficient and growing corporate loan market that provides leadership in advancing and balancing the interests of all market participants.” It is a broad foundation, but one with four concrete pillars:

What guides our mission

LSTA is firmly committed to the following governance in every aspect of our work:

Code of Conduct

Designed to promote integrity, fairness, efficiency and liquidity in the market, the Code establishes general principles applicable to all market activities. While voluntary, compliance is strongly encouraged for all market participants, employees and agents.

Statement of Principles for the Communication and Use of Confidential Information by Loan Market Participants

Our Principles outline broad guidelines for the receipt, use and communication by and to corporate loan market participants of confidential information that may also include material non-public information that is generally available in the corporate loan market.

Antitrust Guidelines

Like all trade associations and their members, we face particular antitrust scrutiny. To ensure that corporate lending activities are conducted in an open atmosphere with no unreasonable restrictions on competition, we have developed these Guidelines.
