General

After email verification, new accounts go through a brief review before access is granted. You will receive an email once your account has been approved. If you have been waiting more than a day and have not heard back, please contact us via the Contact form with the email address you registered with and we will look into it.

Yes — we publish articles and commentary on logical fallacies, critical thinking, and reasoning on our blog. You can find it under The Fallacies in the site navigation, or go directly to /blog. If you have a topic suggestion or would like to contribute, reach out via the Contact form.

The fallacy library, archive, and blog are all freely accessible without an account. Creating an account lets you manage your profile (name, email, and password). Account registration also positions you for any community features we add in the future. Note that new accounts go through a brief review after email verification before access is granted.

There is no self-service account deletion option in your profile at this time. To request that your account be removed, please use the Contact form with the email address associated with your account and include 'account deletion' in your message; we will process the request promptly.

The Resources menu in the navigation links to curated topic pages covering fallacy examples, types of fallacies (formal, informal, and common), critical thinking fallacies, and debate techniques. Each page includes a plain-language introduction and links into the main fallacy library. The menu also includes a link to the Training Request page for classrooms, teams, and workshops that want a tailored next step.

Yes — the blog page has a live search box at the top. Type at least two characters and matching articles will appear automatically. You can also filter by topic using the category badges below the search. To return to the full list, clear the search field.

Yes — selected fallacy pages include a "See Also" sidebar with links to closely related fallacies. Some archive discussion pages also show related threads and linked fallacy entries in the sidebar, making it easier to follow a reasoning pattern across the library.

Your request is sent to the Logically Fallacious contact inbox with all the intake details (audience, stage, timeline, budget, and goals) included in the message body. Staff review it and reply with the most useful next step — whether that is the free library, the book, the Virversity course, or a discussion about a custom arrangement. If you have not heard back within a couple of business days, feel free to follow up via the general Contact form or by text at +1 (978) 643-8662.

Yes — dedicated pages are now available at /privacy and /terms. These cover how we collect and use information, the read-only nature of the historical archive, account conduct, and how to contact us with questions. They supplement the master Archieboy Holdings policies linked from each page.

Logically Fallacious is a practical resource for learning logical fallacies through clear definitions, examples, the book by Bo Bennett, and a preserved archive of community discussions. For a preserved community discussion, see Fallacies.

It is useful for students, teachers, debaters, writers, critical thinkers, and anyone who wants to reason more clearly and spot bad arguments faster.

The best way to reach us is the contact form on the Contact page — it ensures we have your details and usually gets a reply within a few hours. You can also text or call +1 (978) 643-8662 for quick questions (texts may incur carrier fees; reply STOP to opt out). For mailed correspondence, use Archieboy Holdings, LLC, #1006, 771 Boston Post Rd STE 11, Marlborough, MA 01752.

Verification links sent at signup expire after 24 hours. Password reset links expire after 2 hours; if your reset link has expired, request a new one from the reset page. If you didn't receive a verification email, check your spam/junk folder and allow a few minutes for delivery. If it still doesn't arrive, try signing up again or contact us via the Contact form and we'll assist.

At present the fallacy library and archive are maintained by site staff and there is no public editing interface. If you spot an error or would like to suggest a new fallacy, please use the Contact form with a clear description, example(s), and any sources; our team reviews suggested corrections and additions periodically.

We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the contact form together with server-side spam checks and manual review to filter automated and abusive messages. If you're prompted to complete the quick verification widget, follow the on-screen instructions — it's designed to be fast and accessible and helps us respond faster to genuine requests. If you have trouble, try a different browser or device, temporarily disable ad‑block or privacy extensions, or clear cookies/cache and try again. If the verification still fails, you can text or call +1 (978) 643-8662 (include your name, email, and a brief message) or use the Contact form and attach a screenshot plus your browser and timestamp so we can investigate.

Yes — we support signing in via Google on the sign-in page when that option is shown. If social sign-in isn’t available for your account, you can still register or sign in with email and password. If you have trouble, contact us via the Contact form and we’ll help.

There is no public API or bulk download linked from the site. The fallacy library is fully searchable on the website; if you need a dataset for research or a partnership, please contact us via the Contact form so we can discuss the best way to help.

Yes — we've cleaned up formatting across the fallacy library to remove legacy artifacts (duplicate headings, stray headers like {apa}, and other legacy formatting) so pages read more clearly. If you spot any display issues or missing content, please report them via the Contact form and include the fallacy name and the problem.

The fallacy library is maintained by site staff. Entries are imported from legacy sources and cleaned for readability (removing duplicate headings and legacy formatting) before publishing. If you spot an error, a missing example, or want to suggest a new fallacy, please use the Contact form with the fallacy name and details so our team can review and apply changes.

The search on the Search/Browse Fallacies page looks for matches in a fallacy's title and description (case-insensitive). Matches are highlighted in the results, the total number of matching fallacies is shown, and you can jump quickly by letter using the letter buttons near the top of the page. Your search query is also reflected in the page URL, so you can bookmark or share a link to any search.

Yes — we may respond to quick questions via SMS at +1 (978) 643-8662. By texting us you agree to receive messages at the provided number; message frequency varies and standard message and data rates may apply. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, or reply HELP for assistance.

Archive

No — the archive is a preserved, read-only historical resource. We've improved archive pages so they now display reconstructed discussion threads where available (the original question plus any imported answers and comments). New posts, replies, or other interactions remain disabled, and archive pages are intentionally marked noindex. If you expect an answer or comment to appear but it's missing, please use the Contact form and include the archive thread title or URL so we can investigate.

Book

You can purchase the book from Bo Bennett's site using the Purchase Book links throughout this site.

Course

Yes. You can take the online course at Virversity to study logical fallacies in a structured format.

Learning Options

Start with the free fallacy library if you want quick definitions and examples. Use the book for a fuller reference, the Virversity course for structured lessons, or the training request page if you are planning for a group.

The public library includes searchable fallacy entries, definitions, examples, resource pages, blog posts, and a preserved read-only archive. No account is required to read the main library.

The book is the comprehensive reference by Bo Bennett. The Virversity course is a self-paced online learning path with current enrollment pricing on Virversity. The training request path is for classrooms, teams, workshops, or special projects that need a tailored next step.

Training

No fixed public training price is listed because a useful recommendation depends on audience, format, timing, scope, and goals. The intake form asks for a budget range so the reply can point you toward free resources, the book, the course, or a custom quote.

Yes. Use the training request page for classroom support, debate groups, team workshops, critical thinking practice, or help choosing the right book or course materials.

Unless a separate arrangement says otherwise, Logically Fallacious, the book, the course, and the public fallacy library remain owned by their respective rights holders. Custom requests should describe the intended use so permissions and deliverables can be handled clearly.
