Personalized AI features don't have to be cost-prohibitive to scale. Trip.com is experimenting with built-in AI using Gemini Nano to process complex flight searches and summarize travel data locally. By moving inference to the client side, engineering teams will significantly reduce server overhead and token cost, all while delivering a highly responsive user experience. #GoogleIO

Watch this travel blog demo below to see how shifting these tasks to the client side keeps unreleased content private while delivering a fast, seamless authoring experience ⬇️

My first Google I/O. ✨ I've had the best time. I didn't realise how huge it would be, it was buzzing with energy, and so much fun. I spent time at the Chrome area today talking to developers about Modern Web Guidance, something my team announced here this week. Getting early feedback directly from developers, seeing the excitement, answering questions in person. That's the part of DevRel I love. More reflections to come when I'm back and less jet lagged. 😄 #GoogleIO #ChromeDevs #DevRel #ModernWebGuidance #WomenInTech
